    Default Fedor interview

    http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showth...hreadid=652166

Thanks to the guy that translated it. Sad to hear the Fedor thinks he'll lose. He's 100% correct about the cage. Like I said time and time again. It takes time to adjust to the cage. The rules. It makes a big difference and its excellent to hear Fedor sound like he wants to prepare fully. I'm just worried about his inactivity. I honestly hope he crushes Couture when they eventually meet.

OK: Now Fedor, the PRIDE dismantling leaves you in a scenerio. The most logical transition would be into America UFC, or Japan K-1 Hero's. Your manager has speak with UFC recently, and says he plans on working things out with them. Where do you stand?

FE: UFC is good organization. I feel it would offer best challenge. My manager is working things out so I benefit the most from the contract. I don't want to be out there fighting best right off bat. I would like to get more used to cage fight. As well, he try to work with more Red Devil fighters to include. I feel that best for my training and transition into America.
PRIDE fighting allowed my team mates to compete with me, so I expect the same.
I started in RINGS fighting and moved to PRIDE fighting. They were very similar organizations. With America UFC, it would be an entirely new experience.

OK: Would you like fighting Randy Couture (UFC Heavyweight Champion)?

FE: As I have say in the past, Couture is a man I look up to. He is amazing competitor. My only issue is my lack of experience before this fight. He master of cage.
This is why I look for a slow transition into UFC. I would like to get experience.

OK: If the fight ever to happen, how would it go down?

    FE: Murder. (laughs)

    OK: Murder?

FE: I feel if I were in my zone, my strengths would overcome his. It be good fight.

    ----

OK: What are your comments on PRIDE fighters entering UFC and fail?

FE: Cro Cop was expected. I feel he left his heart in PRIDE ring. (Shogun) Rua looked unpleasent. The PRIDE ring make you feel invincible. I guess my time will come eventually.

OK: You feel you will lose in UFC?

FE: It possibility, but I will be ready for their opposition. I represent Russia.

Fedor was a monster in the ring, and if he gets himself a few tune up fights in the ufc to get accustomed to the cage he'll be a monster in there too. It's good that he understands that it will make a difference, apparently the other guys didn't and it cost them. I think if they can get accustomed to it they'll be just as dangerous in the cage, also I didn't see the shogun or nogeira fights but cro cop just lost his will or something, where as henderson actually made a dam good account of himself I think, yeah he lost but no loss to be ashamed off in my eyes.
