Thread: VAN HALEN STILL ROCKS!!!

For those of you who thought that Van Halen wouldn't be as good due to Wolfgang having to sing or everyone being old...just know this they still have it.


Diamond Dave strutted around the stage like always

EVH was spectacular on the guitar

Alex had like a 20 minute drum solo that left everyone in awe

Wolfgang was a damned good bass player and hey the kid can sing too! A great showman as well.


Spectacular show and I'm so glad I got to see them live!

I'm working now so I can't see them on any tour dates.

If i am around i will be catching them at the Madison Square Garden , a pal of mine has tickets for me and the wife should we be in town next month for it..if not i will catch them somewhere before the tour ends. looking forward to it.

You won't regret it....no one expected them to be THAT GOOD.

mate Van Hagar was much better. Dave cannot sing live, he sounds fuckin shit.

Van Hagar was a totally different band, the original line up is much more fun

It won't be long before Alex and Eddie piss Dave off again. Those two guys have massive ego's and finding room for Daves in the band will be a struggle.

Enjoy them while it lasts.

At this rate Joe Elliott from Def Leppard will be the frontman before long.

Is Wolfgang covering all of Michael Anthony's backup vocals? That was my biggest misgiving about this incarnation of VH.

Yes....and believe it or not Wolfgang NAILED the vocals, people forget Eddie the other guy who sings back up vocals is his father and therefore Wolfgang is genetically prepared for singing the backup parts and he did a great job.

....He's a hell of a shopwman for being only 16 and he did very well playing off of DLR, the "Have you seen Junior's Grades" part of 'Cradle Will Rock' was hilarious
