Thread: COME ON ENGLAND

we need to avoid losing today big time. A win would be great....a draw would be good....a defeat isn't worth thinking about. If we lose it's out of our hands.

I don't mean this in an unpatriotic way but I'm glad we lost. I want us to fail to qualify as only then will the public reaction be so strong as to force the twats at the FA out and allow someobody with a brain to come in.

Why the fuck we picked Steve McClaren as manager is a complete mystery to me. For me there were two obvious choices when it came to selecting a manager, Martin O'Neil whose been succesful everywhere he's gone and Gus Hiddink who has an awesome track record at world level.

When Gus was appointed as manager of Russia I said to my mates we won't qualify now, Gus will get Russia there and we deserve to fail for appointing such a crappy manager.

If we had O'Neil or Hiddink in charge like we should have we wouldn't be in this mess.

yeh i agree....maclaren is one pointless fucker but i stil think that this squad is good enough to win the the tournament.....if we had a decent manager....hiddink should have been the man

You're right. McLaren is a better number two than a manager. He's not a leader of men.

It's now a distinct possibility that NONE of the teams from the British Isles will qualify for the finals

Not sure I've ever known this happen in my lifetime....

Look at Tennis... there's probably some one with the potential to be a real world beater sitting in a council house doing fuck all... then a bunch of public school fuckers thinking they're hot shit simply because they're the only ones who can afford to play/don't get snobbed out...

Any that sport any one can play... Basketball... even football... has fuck all money in. Our basketball has very little home grown talent...

In other footy news Portugal just slipped bye Khazakstan 2-1 with a goal in the 90th min. by C. Ronaldo.
Germany got rapped by the Czcehs 3-0 ....

Mexico plays Guatemala in a couple of minutes.

The man is a genuis. He took South Korea to the semi finals of the world cup and at the last world cup not only qualified with Australia but took them to within a whisker of knocking out Italy, who were only saved by a late penalty.

He'd could get the Dog and Bush pub 5 a side team through the European qualification stages.

Bilbo, as much as I want rid of Mclaren I can never say I am glad we lost and neither should you.

Wether you mean to be or not what you said IS unpatriotic and next summer will be a killer if we are not in a major tournament. 1994 was bad but the blow was slightly cushioned by the kick off times being at midnight etc..

Next summer it will be prime time all over the tv and in our faces

In Bilbo's defence, I think his point was that England fail to qualify, McLaren gets fired, whereas if England qualify we'll have him for another 2 years at least and may then fail to qualify for the World Cup - which is even worse.

It was unpatriotic but also very patriotic. He wants England to succeed and we won't do that til SmilyFaceDonaldTrumpHair is gone.
