    Default Hatton on Mayweather

From Hattons book "The Hitman: My story"....

"Floyd has got great handspeed and some brilliant combinations, but I will stand by this belief: if anyone can beat Floyd Mayweather it is me. He has got the kind of style which would give me problems, but for how long? How long could he keep me off him? For the first 4 to 6 rounds it might be tricky, but if I persevered, and I would, I think I would end up getting to him."

In case alot of people including Hatton haven't noticed, Floyd gets better as the fight goes on, i.e. Corrales, Judah, Gatti, Oscar. IMO Ricky's best chance is early in the fight, because the longer it goes the worse it is for him, because all those shots Hatton will take will start opening up some bad cuts or close his face up. Mayweather will have Ricky beat within 8 rounds, 10 at the most. Hope I'm wrong though and Hatton kicks his azzz.

    CC right back.

Its a fight that really has me intrigued. The styles, the personalities the unbeaten records. Something has to give. And when one of the fighters is as tenacious and rises to the big time like Hatton does. Well, it makes it very interesting. And then of course there is Mayweather!

    Should be a corker!!

Forgetting that ridiculous post from Seanie Mayweather has been in with pressure fighters and has always passed with flying colours and busted them up Hatton only has one experience with a fast fighter and that was against Collazo and look what happened there Mayweather has all advantages over Hatton and its easy to say Hatton will walkthrough Mayweather's shots but Mayweather does have some power and Hatton won't be able to rush towards Mayweather with no defense and expect to walkthrough Mayweather's shots otherwise he could find himself on the canvas.

What does Hatton bring new to the table that other pressure fighters like Castillo, Chavez, haven't already tried ?? pressure fighting isn't the way to beat Mayweather.

he will have the same chance all night long (a punchers chance). Floyd never tires he looks fresher in the later part of the fight which is kinda funny, Hatton tires down the stretch so i dont see his point. A good technician always will beat a brawler if he stick to his gameplan.

Exactly. Hatton will need to take it right to him early. He is going to suffer coming in so he is going to have to mug and maul Mayweather inside and keep it there. He is basically going to have to fight dirty without getting points deducted or DQ'd. If Mayweather is allowed too much space, he will chop up Hatton's face.

He needs to go in there, piss Mayweather off early, get inside and let the punches, elbows and headbutts do their work. It sounds nasty, but it will throw Floyd of his game plan I think. Floyd will be crying foul but for Hatton to have a chance, he cannot let Floyd get comfortable.

Hatton will need to change in this fight quite a bit. Usually, he likes to rip some shots inside, then hold. If he does that against Mayweather, his night will be cut short. He cannot allow the ref to keep breaking them up, or he'll fall victim to Mayweather's speed and power.
