Default What fights are you looking forward to in 2008? Can boxing top 2007?

With this great year entering it's final stretch, or final quarter for all you business men, what are your expectations of 2008? Will boxing keep it's great run going? What fights are you looking forward to the most?

    Here is my list.

    Calderon vs Solis/Cazarez 2

    Naito vs Nonito

    Vazquez vs Marquez III

    PACMAN vs Marquez/Guzman/Valero

    Casa vs Juan Diaz

Mayweather vs Cotto/Williams (His two biggest challenges short of moving up in weight IMO)

    Margarito vs Mosley/Cintron

Clottey vs any of the above should be good too.

    Pavlik vs Abraham/Taylor 2/Kessler

    Taylor vs Calzaghe

Dawson vs Hopkins (The only fight that these two should be thinking about. Lets do it.)

Tito vs Jones, already signed (Even though it means nothing, I just can't help to be intrigued)

    Klitchko vs Peter/Chagaev

There are also some prospects I am interested in seeing what they do.

Berto, Andy Lee, JuanMa Lopez, Tony Thomson

    Katsidis/Diaz
    Wright/Pavlik
    Hatton/Judah{which I think should have been made before Ricky tried Floyd }
    Margarito/Cintron II
    Margarito/Williams II
    Margarito/Mosley
    Malinaggi/Hatton
    Pacman/Casamayor
    Diaz/Diaz
    Mirand/Kessler
    Wlad/Someone

Some great fights there but Hatton Judah?? I think Hattons team will not put him in with a slick southpaw who has nothing on the line, what would be the point?

The point, sir, is purely for my entertainment It would be a pointless fight now, but it could have done Hatton some good before getting in with Floyd, just from a perspective of dealing with speed.

Hard to answer till the fights of this year are all done.....what looks attractive now can get crapped on with just one loss. Those mentioned above look like some good ones though.

    Good point!

But let's just hope at this point. My fights are:

Pacquiao (plans on fighting 3 times next year) vs Marquez in March, Valero in the summer, and winner or Guzman/Soto in the winter

Mayweather vs Cotto/Mosely (whoever wins that match)

    Pavlik vs Taylor 2

De La Hoya (plans on fighting twice to end his career) vs Wright then Cotto (where he wont win either fight and still long for that final win)

    Pacquiao-Marquez II
    Mayweather-Cotto
    Cintron-Williams
    Pavlik-Taylor II
Pavlik-Taylor II Winner vs. Winky Wright
    Vazquez-Marquez III
    Hopkins-Dawson
Dawson-Jones (If Hopkins won't fight Dawson)
    Wlad-Peter II
    Casamayor-Juan Diaz

    What about:
Ponce de leon v Marquez. Two heavy hitters
Froch v Mundine. See if Froch can hang with someone who can actually fight back.
Calzaghe v RJJ, if RJJ looks good v Tito
    Donaire v Arce
    Hatton v Malignaggi
    Andrade v Lacy
    Pac v Katsidis
Trinidad v Pavlik at 160.... This could be brutal.....

Until I see otherwise I think Mayweather puts a boxing clinic on Cotto.
I want to see him face Mosley
    Winner of Kessler-Calzaghe face Hopkins
    Pavlik-Taylor 2
    Pavlik-Winky
    Andrade-Lacy
    Solis vs Calderon
    Pac vs JMM
Marquez-Vazquez III if it doesn't happen in 07 I am not sure
    Klitschko vs Chagaev
    Dawson-Jones Jr.
    Juan Diaz vs Casamayor
    Pac vs Juan Diaz
    Pac vs Casamayor(not likely)
    Cotto vs Margarito
Williams vs Hatton or Cotto or Margarito II
    Cotto vs Cintron maybe
    Cintron vs Margarito II
