You have to love Christmas, yeah people get wrapped up in the wrong things like buying presents but it's the one time of year where giving means a little bit more than every other day. Yes this is coming from Lyle the guy who wants to beat up pan handlers.....but there is a difference between beggars and good kind hearted people that got dealt a bad hand or run into some bad luck or hell just hard working folk who don't make enought to get presents for their kids. Doing for those people on Christmas or any other day makes you feel better.


Christmas is the best

I hate Christmas with a burning passion. I love winter-time and the cold weather etc. but as for Christmas itself - I hate it. I have a friend who locks himself in his apartment and drinks gin all day on Christmas, doesn't talk to his family or anyone. He might be my hero.

I like Christmas, but I hate the way businesses try to ram gift giving down our throat. It used to be around Thanksgiving when the whole shopping thing got started, now there are Christmas decorations up in september. The other thing that irks the sh*t out of me is these ads that propose you buy your significant other a $60,000 Lexus or BMW as a gift or you're basically a piece of sh*t. My favorite part of the holiday is around 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, the stores are closed and you can spend some quality time with family or friends. Day after Christmas though, you'll have to listen to the retailers bitching that they didn't make enough money.

Christmas is all hugs and joy and puppy-dogs and daisys for most people, but I do know a lot of people who can't stand most things Chirstmas-related.

I wonder if theres any underlying relation between Santa and Satan (same letters) it definatley takes everyones attention off from the reasons behind the already false dated holiday.
The birth date 25/12/ . (my birthday too ) was bastadized by the Romans to suit an existing holiday and celbration they already had!
So yeah I hate it; its false sh!t thats getting falser evry year.

And cheap assed people give us only one present.

Bring on Easter,with that Bunny sh!tting eggs ,flea bearing ,cash grabbin varmant.

Yeah, they did it to make Christianity syncretic with their own customs and "pagan" celebrations. I think.

I hear ya. I have no problem with people believing in whatever they want, but I still cannot understand how organized religion (in nearly all its forms - I don't know enough about Eastern religions to comment on those. Though I actually enjoyed going to Buddhist temples when I was an exchange student in Japan) is viewed as a good thing by so many people.

Christmas is a completely horrible holiday where you're forced together with the parts of your family you don't normally see (that brother who's an architect and sodded off to some posh suburb in my case) and end up drinking too much, arguing too much and yelling at the younger kids in the family cause they're making too much noise and want to watch some shitty cartoon dvd they got like spongebob shitwiper, and then you end up walking the dog to get away from them...and instead of nice snow, it's always heavy rain or icy sleet....

So I'm hoping I can get in my application to work during the day, and triple time is going to see me living it up on New Year's, a proper holiday where all that matters is getting drunk enough not to be able to dance at midnight, and giving you something to quit when you wake up in 2004/2005/20062007 2008
