Default Tito vs Hearns at Welterweight

    Who would win...

I think most people would pick the Hitman but i dont know, for me its a toss up,both huge punchers, both hadnt got great chins but tito's was better..

I love Hearns and think he ranks higher on the all time great list but i think Tito would get off the floor to stop him in a thriller...

Yeah, a while back, I think I started a thread like this also. Its a great match, but you gotta go with Hearns. He had equal or greater power to Tito, AND was a so much better boxer. Not to mention his height and reach, he could just stay on the outside and pick Tito apart and do the same to Trinidad as he did to the shorter Duran.

Both guys were huge punchers and both could be hurt with punches, so each guy would have a good chance of winning.

However, if they fought 10 times, I'd say Hearns wins 8 out of the 10.

Trinidad was a little of a slow starter. That would hurt him against Hearns.

If Kevin Leusing could put tito on his arse against Hearns it doesnt bare thinking about. Hearns was a great Welter in the top four ever.

Yeah and TITO was a pussy cat

Tito @ WW had one of the Fastest left hooks with incredible Power and great timing and not to MEntion Tito in the smaina area one of the Best there has been.

I say all this the way people rule him out so easily, like if they where judging him of his fights at 160

I said it in another thread, if Hearns boxes he would make it an easy night. But if Hearns warrior mentality got the better of him, as it often did, then the result would be one of the firecest shootouts in boxing history. Both guys at WW had lightning quick punches that packed pure TNT. It would've been an explosive match that would match Hagler - Hearns and probably go a few more rounds and have several KDs. I tend to lean towards Trinidad in a slugfest just because nobody could bang with Tito during his reign. But the trueth is Tito never faced Hearns. It would be a toss-up if Hearns decided to bang with Tito.
