No, Hatton is far too small and reliant on fighting guys he can push about to be up at WW.
WW is just a weird divion. Its full of monsters!![]()

Hatton is 2 small for the other welterweights....the only one i think he should fight is Cotto
that would be a great fight........
if he beats floyd, then he should fight Witter in a huge fight in England and if he wins that then cotto...
Hatton will never fight Cotto in my opinion he could have pushed for it at lightwelter but did'nt so he won't want a stronger Cotto at Welterweight.
I think hatton would fight cotto...as for not pushing it,ricky was the man at light welter,it should hav been cotto looking for him, cotto didnt want to kno either...
if they do fight it would be an all out war, vicious body punches being thrown,id fancy ricky to do it..
He would have beaten cotto at 140 IMOOriginally Posted by MAYWEATHER P4P#1
Cotto is too much of a monster at 147 altho Mosley did say he didn't have that much pop. Physically he would probably be a little too strong tho.
I think Hatton would beat Mosley.....i wasn't impressed with him at all against Cotto. He didn't show much in the second half of the fight and Hatton notoriously comes on stronger. Only thing is, Cotto has already beaten Shane so Hatton wouldn't get much props for it baring in mind people whinge about him beating other older fighters (castillo, tszyu)
It's all irrelevant anyway because no matter what happens next saturday, Hatton will go back down to 140.

Absolute nonsense. Arum had Cotto pretty wrapped up at 140 and he has only really let him of the leash at 147.Originally Posted by MAYWEATHER P4P#1
Still.... Doesn't change the fact that even Cotto , at 147 would probably still be to big & strong for Hatton

Mosley come on in the later rounds i don't understand your comment ??Originally Posted by ono
Well i will have to watch the fight again (it's still on my sky plus planner - geek )Originally Posted by Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker
but from what i remember....he looked pretty gassed out after the first 4 or 5 rounds and he almost had a Judah sorta look about him.....sort of.
The way his mouth was wide open just gave me the impression that either Shane's fitness wasn't all that, or Cotto took something out of him

Saying Hatton comes on strong in last half is abit wrong at the minute in his last few fights vs Urango and Collazo Hatton faded in 2nd half and his fight vs Castillo ended in 4 so we don't know if he is back on track stamina wise.
i think seen as tho he has been an animal in the latter rounds for most of his career i think he should be given the benefit of the doubt with those two.Originally Posted by MAYWEATHER P4P#1
his prep for collazo was almost as bad as reid's was for lacy
and against urango he was full of a cold....and he genuinely was. did you see the interview with him a day before the fight? jesus he looked ill.
i see your point tho mate.

We will know if he is back to his best stamina and workrate wise against Mayweather god i can't waitstyles make fights i think this could be a classic.
Mosley won most of the rounds in the later stages, Cotto was the one backing up Mosley was pursuing Cotto. Infact Mosley in his entire career has always finished strong just like he did in Cotto fight. But what about Hatton's stamina recently ?? when is the last time you see Hatton finish strong in 12 round fight ??Originally Posted by ono
Ive just been saying the samething about Hatton ICEOriginally Posted by Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker
