Thread: Lacy looking past Manfredo?

I know Peter is something like a 6/1 underdog. I have learned in my personal experience to never look past an oponant. There is buz of Tarver Lacy on the horizen.

Although Lacy is a huge favorite I think it unwize to underestimate Manfredo with Freddy Roach in his corner. If nothing else Peter is much more confident. He trusts Roach and has been training hard. He knows that in many ways this is a must win for him.

Unlike in Wales much of the crowd will be cheering for him.

Jeff better be carfull or he just might not be the guy with his hand raised at the end of this one.

As excited as I am for the main event on the 8th this looks like it could prove to have some fireworks aswell!

Nope i don't think he is, Lacy knows he needs too look impressive to get back into the picture.

I hope not... For his sake. I like Lacy and want both to look impressive on the 8th.

I have been reading alot about Tarver Lacy and at this stage in the game it's slightly premature

Jeff Lacy is going to knock Peter's block off!

It's going to be bloody. It will go on for much too long. People will say things after this fight like: Manfredo had such heart. But he will be a punching bag, unable to get out of Lacy's way. He will hit Lacy with a few good shots, but he will find out what a true 168 pounder hits like. Had the fight not been prematurely stopped against Calzaghe he would have found out then. Lacy will pound him and he will last longer than he should have.

That actually just may happen... Sounds feasable to me...

Wow, another Manfredo fan... They're as scarce as Tarver fans around here
