Thread: Mayweather did what I said he would do but Hatton gains my upmost respect!!!!

I knew that it would go the way it did, many didn't believe me but it is what it is and Hatton doesn't do well at 147 & INO he will be king at 140. He gained my respect cuz he was a warrior & didn't give up! He should not fight Oscar & stay at 140. Mayweather should fight on and take on Cotto and Margarito who I believe that both have what it takes to beat him!

i was at the fight, and lacy didnt do too well, it could have been the layoff.

Nothing to do with rust, Lacy was never that good anyway. That showed in fights with Sheika and Vanderpool. I like Lacy but lets be honest he was very overrated.

He was overrated, but that power canot be underestimated. But it seems to have been robbed from him, by lack of confidence I'd say.

Nothing to do with rust, Lacy was never that good anyway. That showed in fights with Sheika and Vanderpool. I like Lacy but lets be honest he was very overrated.

That wasn't the same guy that fought Sheika or Syd. Rust is an obvious of why he was so poor. His confidence is gone.

I give Calzaghe credit for beating Lacy, but there was major flaws in Lacy even before he was ruined. Yes he is not the same fighter he was, but he was always 1 dimensional and there for the taking against a good skilled fighter.

Yes. But no-one could of humiliated him like Calzaghe did. Thats why his heads gone at the moment.

It's probably rust, but he needs to have desire and commitment to get back to where he was, let alone make it further.

I think he's only acually been able to train the last couple of months properly due to the shoulder, he has to get confidence back into it to throw it more often. It was a shitty performance against Manfredo, but he got through it, if he can show steady improvement while staying busy he may be able to get back in contention.

I too picked Floyd to win but let me ask you this since you said you knew.

Did you know that Floyd was going to hit once and then Hug as much as he did?
Did you know Floyd was going to duck and duck and duck below the waist and then come up under Hatton's armpit over and over again?
Did you know Floyd was going to do a lot of hugging?
Did you know Floyd was going to use that elbow so blantanly?
Did you know Joe Cortez was going to be all over Ricky Hatton? All over Ricky hatton because of what people say Hatton is guilty of in one or two fights? All ove Ricky Hatton to the point that Ricky was not able to do anything right and no matter what illegal move Floyd used, it was ok with Cortez because he was so focused on what Ricky might do.

Blah blah fucking blah...you take a damn near virtuoso performance from Floyd and turn into another excuse to slate him. A defensive/offensive masterclass. Was it perfect? No, you're right..but that speaks volumes about how good he really is.
Guess what though? You're not the first person to do that...all of his opponents pick holes in all of his fights too and claim to be the next one to dethrone him. It's not gonna happen..putting Margarito in the same sentence as Floyd is a travesty and Cotto will get eaten. (Granted he has the best shot at beating Floyd but that still doesn't count for much)

All he did was turn Lacy from a B fighter to a C fighter. He was never an A fighter
