Default Jeremian Taylor would want Joe Calzaghe if he beats Pavlik......

Loui De Bella, Talor's promoter states if he beats Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik in their rematch early next year his prime target would be Joe Calzaghe.

"It's hard to look past [the] fight but knowing Jermain, if he beats Pavlik, Joe would be the fight he would want," Taylor's promoter Lou DiBella said.

I really Like Jermaine and although I feel he has his hands full surviving against Pavlik a match With Joe would be great and indeed winnable for Jermaine.

Taylor however has severe problems. He is going into the biggest fight of his career, with a psychological disadvantage, a confidence problem and questions over his stamina and conditioning. In this fight I feel Jermaine must triumph over Pavlik or be beaten badly. Kelly is hungry, always prepared and is determined to the point of being bloody minded. The same cannot be said for Jermaine, who has to get his head sorted out in order to prepare for the Pavlik rematch, before he can even dream of having a career after Pavlik, as overlooking Kelly could see his career ended abruptly if he's not in form.

Taylor will lose against Pavlik again.

He should never go near Joe...that would be the final bolt in the coffin of his career.

I watched the fight again the other day and I was more shocked this time around to see how fast this kid ran out of gas. Taylor was out of gas in less than 2 rounds. Some people said there must be something wrong with him and I agree.

Anyway, no need to change my pick here because I am sticking with Kelly. Even if Taylor catches him early, he wont know what to do with him again. Kelly will get back up if he is caught and come back to stomp a mud hole in Taylors @ss and pound it dry.

Calzaghe would also beat the crap out of Taylor.

B-Hop has some unfinished business here with Taylor IMO.

Taylor is the fight I want for Joe more than any other. Pavli-Taylor II is far from a full gone conclusion. I fancy Taylor's chances to learn from his mistakes and gain revenge for a 3rd fight. People forget that Taylor was ahead on all 3 cards.

Its nervous energy, people keep saying he needs Burns back and although i agree, Taylor has some problems that no trainer can fix, and only Taylor himself can fix. Take first Hopkins fight for example that was one of the most slowest paced fights you will see, yet he run out of steam due to his nervous energy Taylor has all the physical tools to be a great champion but he hasn't quite got the mentality to be great.

I agree Pavlik has that little extra reach in the jab, and he always catches Taylor on the counter. Taylor as soon as he throws the jab needs to move his feet otherwise he is going to get countered with Pavlik's solid left jab like he did last time. Plus it must be in the back of Taylor's head that he hit him with everything but the kitchen sink and couldn't stop him. Yet when Pavlik only need one chance he finished the job.

Man, if Taylor had nervous energy the 1st time with Pavlik, can't wait to see how much he has this time

And to say he wants Calzaghe is kind of putting the cart before the horse, isn't it? He should fight Miranda or Kessler at 168 1st. And won't Joe be gone from SMW? Or is JT planning on going to 175 to meet Joe? Joe isn't going to fight this kid; sounds like JT wants a big payday so he can call it quits to me

That could be your justification right there. Calzaghe wants a pretty big name he can make money off. JT is pretty well publicised and he will bring money to the table.

In the meantime Taylor better hope he doesn't get wiped out of boxing by Pavlik!

JT is world class, i know this for a fact. Hes found it very difficult of late to find sufficent motivation IMO. The loss for I feel will pick him up or he will be truelly ruined. He fought a tough fight against Pavlik and the better fighter won that night. If he wants to prove he is the man like he once was, he needs to beat Pavlik, and do it convingly.

I believe he can do it! It will not be easy for him but if he can beat a legend in Bhop I feel he can take a Pavlik. Hes need a gameplan and if he believes he is the best he can conjure one. If he takes some big shots from Pavlik i do believe it would be all over. Pavlik is the favourite in the fight and rightly so!

It will be bloody close, but I believe he can do it. He needs to bring out a performance deep down and show he can do it. It will need to be a fight of the year performance but if he can put Pavlik down and really capatilize he can win the fight. If he takes his foot off once he will be put on the back foot and this is where Pavlik lands his best shots. Pavlik has good heart and if JT wants to beat him he has to show even bigger heart than Pavlik and really believe he can do it. I dont see this one going the distance, but i want JT to win it.

I think JC would beat him though

Maybe Taylor can do it, and I guess we'll see soon enough, but I say he folds under pressure.

I would never say Taylor doesn't have heart, but I think he panicks, and Pavlik doesn't. Pavlik immediately got up from his knockdown and went straight back into Taylor, while on wobbly legs, which I think unsettled Taylor. And notice how he only knocked Pavlik down once, and only because Pavlik pretty much asked him to by sticking his face out, and never came close to doing it again.

Pavlik was probably the nervous one coming into that fight, so I can only imagine how much more confident he will be this next fight, with JT coming in with more nervous energy than #1. He'll come out and try to blow holes through Pavlik the 1st few rounds and then fade and then go to sleep.

Though I like JT and wouldn't be too upset if he wins, to set up a trilogy like you mentioned, I'd just as soon see Pavlik smash him again. Then let Pavlik move up and fight Kessler or Andrade, or even try to make a weight compromise and beat Hopkins into retirement.

The true best do learn from thier mistakes and if JT is one of the best he will learn what he did wrong and how to improve on it and ultimatly better it. It would be bad if JT just didnt do anything and got pummled, I would question surely if he has what is takes to fight the best again. As for him coming in to KTFO Pavlik, im not sure that would be his wisest move. He can box a good fight as well, those fights hands would really get Pavlik worried if he could keep it up for 12 rounds, combining them with a lot of power would get Pavlik worried.

I hope its another highly entertaining fight, because I do believe they are the two best in the devision. We will have to wait and see.

The winner of this IMO needs to fight Abraham.

I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned this. Everybody's talking about how Jermain will make adjustments and this or that, but you better believe that Pavlik will also learn from his mistakes and not leave himself open like that again.

The last thing in the world taylor needs is to be thinking about anything but pavlik. Right now he hasn't even proven he can beat pavlik and he's even mentioning calzaghe or anybody eles's name
