    Default Boycott DLH v Hatton!!!

What kind of idiot do they take the fans for? This would be a man who fought at Mwt fighting a man who can't even make Welt. This is strictly a 'gate' and 'money' fight. IMO, the fans should not allow themselves be taken for a $60 PPV ride that we already know will NOT be compelling. For me, Hatton will have a hard enought time unifying the JuWelt division. As I see it:

Gavin Rees--his easiest opponent. He should go after he or Kotelnic to get the ball rolling.
Witter--his biggest 'at home' fight, and what a give back for the UK fans!
Malignaggi--I hate his pitty-pat punches, but he will box the socks off of Ricky. If Cotto didn't stop Paulie, no way Hatton will.
Ricardo Torres--this would be a barn burner--puncher v. brawler. My personal favorite on the list, though Witter fight would be much bigger.

If Oscar has a pair, he will fight Vernon Forrest at 154, but he knows he will lose.

    SOUND OFF!!!

It's funny how Hatton went from HERO to ZERO by losing to the best fighter in the world, I think this treatment is unfair and bias

I think its more a case of Hattons weekness has been exposed in that he is not big enough to fight above light welter weight.

He does not have the strength inside to bully opponents .

Dont forget Mayweather is not a big welter and he looked much stronger than Ricky even on the inside.

But if the fight was made I would watch coz you never know what might happen in the fight game.

This is not an attack on you but I believe that people are saying Ricky was not ready for WW to try and take away any credit Floyd may recieve for beating him, and it's a shame. Remember that Ricky turned WW before Cotto (before going back down) now people are saying that Cotto is a natural WW , after he get's his ass handed to him people will say he need's to go back down to 140 as well

BrazilianBomber, what the heck is wrong with you bro? IF BILLY GRAHAM AND HATTON'S FATHER ARE SAYING HATTON IS TOO SMALL FOR WW AND DON'T WANT TO SEE HIM FIGHT TOP FIGHTERS THERE,where the heck does "Oh only Floyd haters are saying Hatton is too small for WW come from? Come on bro, some common sense.

It doesn't matter who went to WW first, who has beaten the better fighters at WW?Cotto. Who has shwon he has settled into the weight more?Cotto. For all intents and purposes,Hatton could very well have been 0-2 at WW,it just so happens he squeaked a W in his fight with Collazo who is at best, a top 10 WW. So I'm not really understanding ANY of your points which have 0 logic behind them.

You took the words right out of my mouth!! It seems like the Brazilian Bomber had his feelings hurt when Hatton lost. I must disagree with him when he laments the "fact" that Hatton went from "hero to zero." I would say yes, but only at 147. At 140 he is still a hero!

I think if Oscar has a pair... he will never allow Joe Cortez to ref a Golden Boy fight again. I hope that crook is buying lil debbie snacks with foodstamps next time i go to the grocery store.

Exactly..I hate how people are now bringing the weight arguement back into it. This match would have been EXACTLY the same at Junior Welterweight! How would it have been any different? Ricky already said he is going to train as though he is fight at Junior Welterweight because regardless, Hatton always comes in on fight night weighing over 150 even when he is at Junior Welterweight! Floyd always comes in weighing 147 on fight night..even against De La Hoya! So if the fight was to take place at Junior Welter, Hatton would have weighed what he normally weighs and Floyd would have gone back up close to 147 after the weigh in.

I swear we already decided before this fight that the weight wasn't going to be a factor? Now its being used as an excuse.

Why does it matter who went up first? It just seems pretty clear that Cotto's taken to 147 better, he's the bigger, stronger looking guy. I don't remember exactly what Hatton weighed in as on fight nights at 140 but I'm pretty sure it wasn't 157 or 158 like Cotto would. Cotto was clearly cutting more weight. He clearly looks stronger at 147.

Not everything's an attack on Floyd, I know a lot of Floyd fans will never ever believe that, its like a persecution complex or some shit. Its not totally unjustified cause there are some people that just irrationally hate Floyd and say stupid shit like Floyd ran from Corley, etc, but when some people say things like they think Cotto's more suited for 147 that's all they really mean.

No way I'm paying to see Hatton/De La Hoya. I'll just wait for the RBR{all 3 of them }. They better put a damn good undercard on the show before I waste my money watching that. I'd rather watch VD's avatar

    Your kidding right?
This makes total sense for both of them
Hatton isnt a PPV draw in the states on his own yet,a high profile win might put him there
Oscar needs a high profile win to maintain his status as a legit PPV draw, because his star is faiding

    Well as far as $$$ is concerned, it makes perfect sense for both, especially Oscar. But from personal fan viewpoint, this fight means nothing. Oscar won't make a greater legacy fighting Hatton. Hatton will get beaten criminally, and even if he wins everyone would say Oscar was shot{and they'd be right IMO}. I don't care if they fight, I'm just not paying for it{unless VD loans me the money}

Oh dont get wrong,I wouldnt buy it,but it makes sense for Hatton as it would be a high profile fight after a high profile loss.
For De La Hoya it would be a high profile fight after a series of pretty high profile losses
    No matter who wins
It puts Hattons star back in to ascendancy,or it save Oscars from decline. Its not a fight that interests me stylisticly, admittably, but it makes sense for the combatants
