    CC for the humurous link..

"PC: I think he wants to visit a few gyms to see how everything is and make a decision. That's what is being reported.

Floyd SR: He needs to go visit a psychiatrist."

    best line hahaha.

CC, that was great. That might be the funniest interview I've read yet. Sr. sure has a way with words; and I love his pot-shotting at Ellerbe, freakin' awesome. I hope Floyd does try to fight a top guy in MMA; he'll get abused. I'd rather see him do his thing and stay in boxing, and fight Cotto. That's what the fans of boxing want to see the most.

I agree with one crazy thing Floyd Sr. said, that if some of the top guys tried to just stand and use their fists with him even, he'd kick their ass.
Floyd Sr. may be over 50, but I would not want to try and spar his ass let alone street fight him.

Very funny article but he did make a lot of sense on a couple of things.

    1) Why the hell is Floyd thinking about this apart from $30m? He will defo get beaten by a half decent MMA fighter. I do not think boxers have faired well when they have moved across.

    2) Floyd would make a lot of money from commercials and fighting big names/ dangerous fights i.e. Cotto/ Williams and dare I say it Margarito.

Actually the things he says in the interview are right on the button...Just that SR has his own off color way of putting things taking away from its seriousness....but he is right

Floyd will find out all his slick moves will do him zero if he gets caught on the mat by a top mma fighter...and they will get him on the ground even if it means eating some shots....worse comes to worse he would lose on points for running...

he is right Floyd could make a mint doing spokesman work in commercials etc if he did not act like such an ass and shut the hell up with all his bragging

There are not many boxers who would be successful in MMA. The ones who could pull off victories would be guys with super fast hands and loads of power.

I think a prime Tyson or Jones Jr. could have been successful, simply because they could potentially end a fight quickly before the fight ever got to the ground.

On the flip side of the coin, not to many MMA fighters would be successful at boxing either, they would get their asses handed to them.

they dont need to take floyd to the mat to kiss his a$$, one kick on floyd's thighs and he will limp already. he has never tasted that before so his body would react differently. his shoulder roll will get his arms broken in two if he blocks a kick with that.

I think Mayweather Sr. and Floyd should get in the cage and just settle things once and for all .

Floyd is not going to seriously fight in MMA, whoever believes that is simply gullible. He said he was getting into it, and i'm pretty sure its a promotional venture with his buddy Mark Cuban.

Why would he leave a sport that pays him millions to dominate for a sport that only gives their top fighters a fraction of that money and where he'll be outgunned?

If he did fight inside a cage, it'd be a simple exhibition bout against a horrible opponent that will probably be instructed to make Floyd look good.
