By becoming fit enough to be able to totaly relax all the muscles involved in the process so you are free to punch only tenseing  on impact and then free to return the glove to the guard position.
Thinking like a whip that only tenses on the end helps.
Thinking only hands and target and return helps too.
Once you can deliver the shot at speed ; Concentrating only on  the return of the shot instead of the delivery helps alot.
The next step once your happy with that is only think in groups of punches. Then after that, different combos.
Sometimes, Thinking gets in the way of beginners progressing to the next stages.
Once you learn something and its natural to you:
think the next stage, ignore the first stage (cause you can),
    then it frees you up.

Have faith in your own abilitys to learn everything fast.

Knowing frees you up, to progress faster.

Remember to focus on flexibility. Â I need to improve my speed as well. Â

Try focus mitts with your trainer
    A) It'll help your form
    B) It'll help your reflexes
    C) It'll make you more relaxed with punching

all of those will speed you up
