IF Cintron vacates,he's a dog. Why? Because after all his bad mouthing of Williams in the past, and feigning injury to get out of the fight with him,yet being able to fight as soon as Williams announced he was fighting Quintana.Oh and the small matter that Josh Clottey is the mandatory for his title. The Cotto fight is a win-win fight for him,if he loses,he lost to a P4P fighter,if he looks good/wins,he gets plaudits. He should keep his title, fulfill his mandatory and then maybe unify.

And I'd like to add there were posters here saying Margarito needs to get in line for Cotto.WTF are they going to say about Cintron?Marg won his last fight impressively,KTFO Cintron, lost narrowly to Paul and beat Clottey.

But Cintron is a champion and a Puerto Rican one at that. The fight would definitely generate a lot of interest in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican champions going at it is a rare thing. I guess Cintron-Cotto is better than Cotto-Gomez. I just want to see Cotto in the ring soon and a definite fight be announced. It's clear business can't be done with Floyd-Oscar.

Don't get me wrong,it's a better fight than Gomez v Cotto but I was looking at it from Cintron's perspective. For a guy who was flapping his gums about Williams,to a guy who "injured" his hand v the below average Feliciano and ca'nt fight v Williams to unify nor with Clottey, his mandatory, to wanting a fight with Cotto?I don't think so. And as I said before, people were saying what has Margarito done fo shot at Cotto, let's just say a DAM sight more than Cintron. And that's a FACT.

You guys all really believe that Cintron faked that hand injury huh? It seems a little far fetched to me.

The only reason Cotto-Margarito wont get made is Bob Arum, they are both in his stable of fighters and he probably doesnt want to hurt either of their reputations if he can avoid it.

Yeah...That would be the end of Cintron at the top of the level...he would end up banished to the lower tier

What a tear up this fight would be!

If this does happen you'd have to give Cotto major credit for taking on Zab Judah, Shane Mosely and then Kermit Cintron in straight succession.

He's laying down the gauntlet to Floyd now that's for sure!

I don't think he has to fight Cintron, he has already earned his shot at PBF

So basically if Cintron ducks Paul Williams he can fight Cotto?

No contest, Cintron would probably rather make more money in a brutal loss against Cotto then less money against Paul Williams.

As long as Williams gets the winner Im happy.

I know Cotto isn't the type to avoid anyone, but I just don't like this fight for him. It's pretty much a lose/lose situation especially if Cintron vacates. I guess Arum thinks the only way they get Floyd is to try and clean out the division. This fight is very high risk, low reward. What has Cintron done to earn a shot at Cotto anyway? Cintron needs to fight Clottey, Williams, or Margarito again, even before he deserves this shot.

I DONT WHAT HAPPEN TO CINTRON BECAUSE SINCE LAST FIGHT WITH FELICIANO HE DIDNT LOOKS GOOD IF HE PLANNING A FIGHT WITH COTTO LIKE THAT, IMAGINE WHAT GOING HAPPEN, BUT IS TRUE IS BETTER COMPETITIVE MATCH THAN GOMEZ OF COURSE,DEFINITLY.

He's another world champ what more does he need to do to 'deserve' his shot?

Who did he beat to become "world" champ? The guy left the ring crying in his only major test. I'm not saying it wouldn't be an interesting fight, but I'd rather see Cotto fight Williams, Margarito, or even Clottey. Once again Cintron might have to vacate so he will not even be a champion unless they can get Clottey to step aside. I just don't really see the point in this fight especially if Cintron vacates. Even when Cotto beat Quintana for the vacant strap I was happy for the guy, but at that time I didn't consider him an elite WW just yet. Bottom line titles are a dime a dozen and just because Cintron has one doesn't make him elite by any means. I was hoping Cintron got over the hump, but in the Feliciano fight it looked like he had another emotional breakdown to go along with his hand injury.
