Default Roman Karmazin vs Alex Bunema What The Hell Happened ??

When i watched this last night it was shocking to see Karmazin made to look so terrible just by Alex's simple head movement. I wasn't impressed with Alex at all but he was making Karmazin miss constantly and Karmazin could never really land a hard clean shot. Plus Karmazin could not stop the straight right hand at all Alex would leap in and catch him mostly every time. I think its time for Karmazin to hang em up he looked very poor last night and he is 35.

Yeah i agree it wasn't his best performance..was shocking to see him get knocked out after winning mostly every round! Also I thought that first knockdown was a flash knockdown but obviously not. Credit to Alex though..he went fucking crazy when he won lol

Good for Bunema ! Thats what I say. He did great last night in beating ol' buzzard neck. And boy what a celebration that was huh? "lift me up, lift me up!!!"

Bunema hung in and waited for his chance and he took it well. Karmazin had his left down by his ankles the whole fight and had his head in the one spot and didn't move well. It seemed Karmazin thought he was going to win via 1 punch and when that didn't seem likely he didn't know what to do then got KO'd. And Bunema just raised the bar when it comes to non-world title fight victory celebrations he was pretty happy. I enjoyed his antics.

I don't think Karmazin won most of the rounds i had him ahead by 2 points after 9 rounds. But it easily could of been even on most people's scorecards based on the rounds being difficult to score.

That fight reminded me of Darchinyan/Donaire - one guy didn't show the other any respect and paid for it.

Karmazin was like Darchinyan in that he thought he didn't have to worry about protecting himself - his defense was embarassing.

Nice KO by Bunema, maybe Karmazin will show him a little more respect if they fight again.

Lampley sumed it up nicely, when he was commenting on his low left. I could understand keeping it that low if your throwing a laser like jab and throwing it often. He wasnt it was basically just slowing down his jab and leaving a huge opening for the right which Bunema fed him all night.

Yeah Karmazin had that stupid Vic Darchinyan grin on his face early on. Got KO'd a bit like Vic for it too.

Wow, goes to show you can never be too sure about a fight cause I've seen Bunema a lot and didn't think he had much of a chance in this.

Karmazin was getting hit with a right hand throughout the fight. Should have adapted but showed no respect for Bunema.

I never thought much of Karmazin. So much for him being the top man at 154.

    What happened?

Bunema threw a left hook and it landed.

I always though of Karmazin as one of the top guys at 154,awkward as heck and tough, with a few good wins and a close close loss to Spinks as evidence of his being one of the 54 pounders. This was just shocking though!! I think it is the end for him, taking into account his age and the fact that no-one wanted to fight him whenhe was a champ, let alone a contender, now he has lost,he's way way too high risk low reward for anyone! I'd love to see him bust up Forrest!

It wasnt a one sided fight but Roman was infront IMO . He was boxing like a shot fight either , he had good speed , variation and controlled the ring well . His only fault was dropping the left hand and he paid the ultimate price . Bunema dispite the losses on his record looks like he has a future . He can fight, box , take a punch and dish out a punch
