Default Kermit Cintron answers questions from fans

I came across this on the Cotto forum and thought I would share it. It seems Cintron has been taking a lot of heat lately from a lot of us (including me) but after reading his responses I realized I may have judged him too soon or put too much into what I heard about him.

This really changed my view of him. He is no coward, and he DOES want to fight the best. I remember somebody posted some slanderous remarks made about Cintron from his old promoter (or maybe trainer?), then people thought he was ducking Williams and I think it made a lot of us jump to conclusions that might not have been fair.

He even goes out of his way to answer every question, even the silly ones. Plus, he is a Steelers fan

Are u kidding here mate? Cintron is a cock. He thinks he'd stop Mayweather, Williams, Cotto, and Mosely, and would win a rematch against Margarito. What an idiot, the man barely beat Feliciano and got destroyed by Margo first time.
I didnt bother reading the rest cos that said all i needed to hear. Actually beat someone good before u run your mouth Kermit.

Williams-Cintron was schedule for February. When Cintron supposedly hurt his hand against Feliciano, Williams gave him the option of postponing there fight a couple of months. To give Cintron time to heal. Cintron elected instead to pull of completely. I have my doubts about Cintron really wanting to fight the big names as bad as he says he does

Lmao, want him to say: Here are all of the guys who can beat me. Every fighter says that they will beat whoever. The man gets more hate than anyother fighter I hear about.

I hear that. he insists of all the top welters he matches up with Williams the best. So why not fight him? The thing is he is real about wanting to fight Margarito again, who gave him a beating. Why bush out on Williams but desire to fight another tough top welter who he knows already beat him. His hand is injured and instead of postponing and setting a later date with Williams he decided just to make sure he feels 100% before fighting again. He is on the edge of the mix right now, but lose another fight and he's gonna be trying to eat the leftovers of other fighters for years to come before he gets back in the mixed or falls out of the scene completely.

I usually wouldn't care, but Cintron has been getting his image smacked around by everyone. I wanted to give people the chance to get a different perspective before classifying him as the bitch of the division.

I love the fact that people are just talking about boxing and about Kermit Cintron...but there is so much misinformation. One person posts something and people "assume" it is fact. You know what they say about "assume"...it makes an ASS out of U and Me.

Here it is. I know Kerm. When he hurt his hand he was pressured to sign a deal with Williams even before the hand specialist evaluated him. They did agree to move the date back but not months as has been reported. The date they agreed to move it back was still a date that the doctor could not assure his hand would be ready by. So I ask...what would you have done? Kerm decided not to make the same mistake he made in 05 when he came back off a hand injury to fight Margarito. He wasn't prepared for that fight and he'll never make that mistake again.

He chose to decline that fight to make sure his hand would be healthy. He wants to fight any of the belt-holders, Margarito (since he's the only guy to beat him), and any other big fight available. He has lost one professional fight in his career and he wants to avenge it. Anyone who wants to "beat him up for that" is just stupid.

Cintron wants to fight Williams, Cotto, Mayweather, Margarito, Mosely, ...and any other top welterweight. You can all try to beat him up but he desires to be the top welterweight and has set course to do so. Is he confident...yes! Is he cocky...no! There is a big difference. Now he and his team just need to get the fights set up and we'll all see what will happens. Until he does it, people can say what they want...and criticize him if they like. They can do what they want to. He can't control that.

What he can control...his goals, his actions, and his fights....he is doing so. 2008 should be a great year for boxing, for the welterweight division...and for Kermit Cintron!

Believe me the things Cintrons old Trainer Marshall Kauffmann were not out of line or a crock... Everything Marshall said was true and he even was decent enough to leave certain things out to save Cintron some face

When I saw the thread title I expected the following inside.

BoxingTalk: Ok guys here we have Kermit Cintron in the house, big up Kermit, how's it going?

Cintron: It's going good G I'm just chilling right now looking forward to my next fight and happy to be here to talk to my fans.

BoxingTalk: Well that's great Kermit, let's open it up to the fans then and see who wants to ask you a question.

Boxingtalk: Ok let's wind this up Kermit it seems like nobody is here, thanks for logging on though.

Kermit: My pleasure G, as nobody else is asking any questions do you have anything you want to know?

I'm not interested in hearing Cintron having a Q&A with fans. Only questions he needs to answer are in the ring. And if he can actually make it through the fire with Margarito; win or lose, then I'll take back all the bad things I have said about him. Until then; him making gay wannabe dating service videos calling out Tony and having fireside chats with his fans is irrelevant to me. As far as I'm concerned he's just a quitter who can't take the heat in the kitchen.

He's got alot of nerve saying he can ko Floyd when he could barely get by Feliciano. And Cotto and Margarito will beat him so bad he'll try his hand at MMA and run right out of the boxing scene.

I just sent a question and hopefullt he will answer.

It's about Williams and I stated "You say tou would beat Paul Williams which is of course possible but how would you deal with his size, reach and the amount of puches he throws a round"

I wrote that so he may answer it. My ass does he have a chance against Williams

Paul Williams- I can see him running away from me in the first few rounds but I would eventually catch him. (KO)

This guy has some balls thinking he can get away with saying that after hiding like a little bitch! He is still a bitch in my book I dont care if he's a nice guy or any of that other shit, he's a coward.
Whats with all the Pacman questions, you Pacland fans asked some weak ass questions....
Here is the only hard ball question the others are complete crap....

    No Fear

    Kermit,

As a fan I wanted to see this fight, are you scared of Paul Williams?

    Vince in Dallas

    Hi Vince,

LMAO. Scared of Paul Williams? No man...I’m not scared of Paul Williams. Let me ask you this. Would you go into a big fight with a hand injury? I had severe ligament damage after my last fight. And regardless of what is out there in the press, I was told I had to fight Paul Williams by March 9th and that wouldn’t have given my hand proper time to heal. If I was offered a date later then March 9th, the fight might have been able to take off. I was looking forward to the unification bout with Paul Williams. I wasn’t going to make the same mistake I did when I fought Antonio Margarito. I had two hand surgeries with a nine month layoff and four weeks of training to prepare for a world title fight. The fight will eventually happen with Paul Williams, stay tuned.

Whatever, he could still make the fight he was cleared by a doctor earlier this month, that gives him 2 months still, how much freaking time do you need crybaby. The only thing thats gonna be different in this second Margarito fight is he wont be crying afterwards, because he is gonna be unconcious.

I submitted a question asking him how long he needs to prepare for a fight with Paul Williams and why he opted out with 2 months to get ready. I also asked where he took his acting lessons in regards to his performance after the Feliciano fight. I doubt I'll get a response.
