    Ez all,

I've been reading this site for info for a while but only just registered.

I've got my first bout next Wednesday 18/5 and was wondering what i should do training wise beforehand. I Normally do running/sprints/stairuns at the weekend so ill probably still do those. What do you recomend for the monday an Tuesday beforehand peeps.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Cheers guys n gyals.

Yup. It's too late to train now. Just stretch a little to stay loose and warmed up.

On the weekend go light on the runs, Monday you can train but dont go all out a light session will do, Tuesday stay at home but skip, shaddow, bag. Wednesday just do pads.

RELAX amater bouts mean nothing its an experience and you will get better, afterwards make a list with your trainer on your weaknesses and then you can improve

Yeah light leg stretches hip stretches, light fast hand work while dancing around.

on the night warm up the same , dont come out cold.

keep that jab happening all night long,Control him with it ,turn around behind it , its the biggest scoring punch in amature comps.

Come out from behind your jab and do other work when you see its right to do so and then get back behind it again.

Enjoy the time, its only short ,relax, let it flow.

Get someone to video the match for you.

    I can explain it.
But I cant understand it for you.

not a good sign your asking what to do to prepare for a fight.. no one can help you with that. You gotta figure out whats best for you... no one knows how to get you ready for a fight but you.

fair enough but it's natural to be nervous and want to know what othe people think. Some folk are real quite before a fight others like a lot of noise to fire them up.

yea, I agree with you there. But you tell a guy to get nuts and crazy to get pumped up and it might not do anything for that particular person. I know for me personally.. I get quiet and like to be alone while I make myself picture this guy touching my daughter, wife, sister..whatever. I get furious, and when I get into the ring, I absolutly want to kill the guy. I know thats not the norm, but you got to do what it takes to get you in the mood. I never forget what Im in there to do.. to bury this guy. After its over.. we can be friends.. but when you put the gloves on, I want to destroy you.

On a lighter note.. I am not a complete psycho
