Thread: A new heavyweight upcomer !

His name is Denis Boytsov who is 22 years old. He is 20-0 ( 18 kos ) 12 of which come in the first round! Hes fighting against Robert Hawkins next and this is going to show wheather he can fight it out with somebody whos faught a good fighter. Hes been the distance with Tua and Sam Peter and beat Domink Guinn in his last fight. I look forward to seeing Boystov - Hawkins.

This guy is possibly the future of the Heavyweight division, Mike Perez.
He's 22 years old and the current World Amatuer Heavyweight Champion.
The Cuban boxer has defected and turns professional in Ireland next month. His career will be based in Cork, Ireland with promoters Nowhere to Hyde Promotions and he makes his professional debut in Dublin on March 22nd.

Its still early days for him and hes been building himself up. We will see how he gets on against Hawkins because if he beats him handily I believe thats a good step forward for the future.

On the subject of Boytsov, I have seen about 6 of his fights and he is very explosive and it will be could to see if that power carries against higher level opposition. Hawkins will be a good test for the still raw Boytsov.
