Thread: Klit/Ibragimov Entrances

For anyone who watched the fight last night, what was up with the entrances? Was that something new? I haven't never seen Michael Buffer announce the guy, then a video play of him, and then he walks in by himself, almost like a WWE entrance.. Normally you get the tale of the tape, Lederman gives us the rules of the match, and then the boxer and his entourage walk out.. Forgive me if this happens every now and again, I just happened to never experience it.. Seemed kind of cheesy if you ask me.

I just never like it when it takes so long to start the mother fucking fight. I can't stand National Anthems before the Main Event....do the Anthems at the very begining!!!

yeah i hear that.. if it's a huge fight, i don't mind cause i like the build up, but otherwise i like for it to get going as fast as possible..

but as far as the entrances went, was that some new shit?

It looked like it...I had never seen it before.

That's the "European way" of doing entrances, so to speak. If you ever watch fights in Europe, especially in places like Germany, it's pretty normal to announce the fighter and have him walk to the ring by himself, with his cornermen waiting in the ring.

I like the traditional entrances better. It doesn't feel "right" to me unless the fighter walks in surrounded by his trainer/cornermen.
