Yes, this is the idea. I was watching MMA and I think it was Big Dan M who was doing a fight and he told the guys to fight or he would start taking points from the guy who was doing just a little bit too much running. I don't watch the heavy weights and this weekend I decided to tune in. What a waste of time that wasI stopped watching after around the 6th.
These refs need to go back to ref school and they have to revamp the manual/rule book and go over every scenario and add them to the book. There should also be a couple of senior officials to make sure the ref is in fact doing his job and call him on it when he is not doing his job like letting Floyd hit his opponent with 50 elbows and getting nothing more than a verbal warning for it from his buddy Joe Cortez. If a ref is being incompetent, have him removed and replaced on the spot with a back up ref.

Most of the time Floyd wasn't using his elbow in a dangerous manner. He does use it defensively so that you can't throw a right hand overtop, but the he does more often is push of the opponent's neck or head with his mitt.
Just like this weekend, sulton knew what he was in for, just like every opponet of floyd. You know what he does legal or not so be prepared, don't go into the ring knowing he does as of these claims....run, elbow, pull weapons out of his shorts whatever..them make excuses afterward. The ref's are doing a good enough job, are they perfect "no" but we don't need talks of more referee' ing or changing the styles of the ref. Mid-as-well give the two fighters PS3 joysticks and let them fight it out that way. Everyone has a problem with the way klitchko won and that i understand but it was sultons job to do something about it, and he didn't.

If a fighter is using an elbow excessively, gets warned over and over again about the elbows but the ref does nothing more than give verbal warnings, then the ref is NOT doing his job.
The ref's are doing a good enough job?
There should be no room for good enough in a professional sport.
If you pay a top mechanic to fix your car, will you be happy with a good enough job? He leaves some bolts out, the car rattles now, hey your car still runs. You paid him good money and yet he only did a good enough job.
Your logic is wack bro.
Miss me with your post.
I forgot to mention that Floyd was never once warned for ducking below the waist line.
NOT ONCE!
Joe Cortez did good enough you say? LOL Good enough to help Floyd sure.

Refs take a lot of criticism... but try and name the big fights of the last ~10 years or so that have truly been affected by the referee. The list won't be very long at all.
The fact that people keep bringing up Cortez is a joke. Mayweather didn't beat Ricky Hatton because of Joe Cortez, he beat Hatton because he's heads and shoulders above Hatton as a prizefighter.
Mayweather did beat Ricky Hatton because of Joe Cortez.
When Joe deducted a point from Ricky when Floyd ducked below the waist line as Ricky was charging in, Floyd allowed himself to be pushed throw the ropes as ricky was charging and had momentum. THE FACT is! The so called punch to the back of the head NEVER even landed. By then, Ricky knew the cards were stacked and that is why he gave Floyd his back and motioned to Floyd and Joe to come and phuk him in the @ss because that was basicly all there was left for Joe and Floyd to do.
Joe was not doing his job and was showing favortism towards Floyd.
Head and Shoulders above Ricky?
Surely you ment Elbows and below Ricky's Waistline as a prize fighter.
Frustration and some foolishness beat Ricky Hatton.
He should have never let Floyd lure him into the corner over and over again.
That was a big mistake by Ricky but had this been another ref, a ref who was doing his job, the out come might have been a little different. It has to be hell fighting a weasle who is getting help from a ref who is either turning a blind eye or just being incompetent.
