Thread: Gatti fighting again???

I saw that Arturo Gatti is listed on boxrec as having a 3 round bout on a card at the PAL Center in Delaware. Heh, I guess he just can't get away from the game, I was wondering if this was a sanctioned fight and if it will count on his record. Anyone heard anything about this?

Hey my friend if that is true i guess that Gatti want to suicide himself man.......i dont know really what Gatti want , instead of enjoy all that he earned in boxing and take care his Health.......but this is part of the game......

IMO, Gatti is done. Enough punishments for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he'll end up having a parkinsons desease.

Just an exhibition....Besides there are no sanctioned 3 round bouts for pro's that count on your record...The bouts are kept track of because they need be sanctioned by a commision but do not count in rating type things

Thanks for clearing that up, I wouldn't be surprised if his opponent was Mickey Ward, that would be cool.

If its scheduled on boxrec it probably is sanctioned. They dont usually show scheduled exhibitions. Either way if he wants to fight a 3 round fight, why not? Im sue it wont be against a top fighter, probably someone who will make him look good for the fans.

Unfortunatly I think he'll fight again.Imo he is done so put a fork in him but his heart will override his head some day , I hope not.

All fights have to be sanctioned...Even amateur bouts have to be sanctioned or else they are illegal....If you ever look at Ali's record you will see fights on there that are only exhibitions......

Anyhow...Thing is no 3 round fight is honored by the sanctioning bodies..(Title organizations)....The people who sanction them are the state athletic commission

LOL that would have been one hell of a bender since he has not been gone but a year I think.....From what I have heard Gatti really has no bad habits like that....

Arturo loves the boxing game, I am not surprised to see him still heavily involved.

I think its pretty cool of him, because it will bring alot of fans to a card that maybe wouldnt have shown up if Gatti wasnt there, and these other guys on the card get some exposure.
