What a pulsating fight....it was cracking entertainment all the way through, and swung back and forth from Bell early on, to Edwards in the mid-late rounds, then back to a final surge from Bell to claim victory.

Edwards is a true scrapper, who came forward for 36 minutes nearly non-stop, and showed that he wanted it an awful lot,, but in the end he was just a little too crude and too easy to counter for Bell.

Bell showed he is a quality boxer who gave everything in order to take the title, and there were times when he sagged into the clinches late on where he was utterly exhausted. Overall though, I think the decision 117-111 twice and 115-113 was about right, as Bell has very little of the points in the second half of the fight, except in a few bursts that might have one him one, or maybe two of the last six.

I echo those thought Rhun. I had it 116-111 to Bell. He deserved the win no question but Edwards made a real scrap of it. I thought the Haskins-McDonnel fight was very good too, although I felt the decision went the wrong way as I thought Jamie hit with better, cleaner punches although there wasn't much in it.

Unfortunately, my other housemates were in last night, so we had to compromise where I got to watch the main fight, but then we had to watch the dvd they'd rented, so I didn't see the undercard at all.
