Thread: Wanna get started boxing

Hey, What's up guys... My name is colby smith and i live in Arkansas. I've been trying to get started boxing, but there are no local gyms around and no trainers. I bought me a heavy bag and i have been working out on it. What are some good things to practice by myself, but i need a trainer so i don't keep up on bad habits. Can you fill me in on some beginner stuff. Hopefully ill be able to fight in the Golden Gloves or toughman contest. I'm 6'0 and 155lbs.. Thanks,

ok.
pushups, situps, pull ups, squat thrusts, tri dips
hit that heavy bag with hard but calculated combinations. dont go wild on the bag
long runs in evenings, and mornings if your really dedicated. use a skipping rope if you can get hold of one.
watch tapes/online clips of PBF. he boxes perfectly, and will give you the idea of a good punch
