Thread: I'm moving out of home!

For anyone that has heard me talking about looking for a place to rent, I finally got accepted for one with my girlfriend and her friend from work!! We are going in tomorrow to sign the contracts and pay the bond, and then we get the keys on Friday!! It's very freakin exciting!!
I'm 26 and have been talking about moving out for the last 6 or 7 years.. God knows i've been a burden on my mom for most of those years, and i'm sure she'll be party glad to get rid of me... I'm sure a part of her will be sad though as she's had 6 kids in total.. 3 older than me (oldest is about 39) and 2 younger than me (youngest is 22).... So after bringing up 6 kids, and for the first time in 39 years, it is going to be just her and my dad... I'm sure that's going to be strange for her.... I'm a good son though so i'll be around to visit her often...
I'm moving about 15 to 20 minutes away from home, into another town... It's It's pretty much right in between where I live now, and my workplace,,, so it's cut my travel time in half which was the main reason to move away from the town i've grown up in and love..

So, Mr Dizaster is taking his first step into the big world!! I already have zero dollars left after the bond and first months rent, as I was getting a little disheartened from applying for houses for the last 5 weeks and not getting anything, so I managed to spend all the saving we had for furniture on alcohol, PS2 games, DS games, etc etc... It just went into thin air...

Don't know what i'm going to do about internet.. I seriously don't even have a cent left to pay the connection for to get the phone connected at the new house. So i'll probably be offline for maybe up to a month, or at least 2 weeks until I get paid again and can get the internet connected..

But it's all going to work out for the best, and hopefully shit starts working out for me know i'll have my own space and not living out of my parents back pockets....

It's haunted. Strange things will start to happen on the third night. lol

With todays prices I think the smart move is for a child to stay at home and help pay the family mortgage. Secure a place to live that's paid for as soon as possible.

Whatever you do, do not try to arrange a threesome with your girlfriend and her roommate. Trust me .

It's a big step, I was away from home for two years - two and a half actually- from 17 til 19. I have to say, being bak at home this year is great, but it's only temporary I know and I have to go back to that hell hole next september

You will be miossed on the boards if you're gone for a month, but you're doing a great thing so we won't be lamenting you just yet!
