Thread: Jesus "El Martillo" Gonzalez

Hey guys it's not too often that you hear ANYTHING about a boxer from my home state of Arizona. So even though it's a little late I thought I would bring this guy up. Earlier this month he won a wide UD decision over Durrell Richardson to get the interim WBC Continental Americas light middleweight title.

He boasts a a record of 24-1-0 (13 KOs) his sole loss was getting sparked out by Jose Luis Zertuche for the IBC middleweight title. He is not the fastest or strongest, but he has a ton of heart and I think if he sticks at 154 you may hear more about him in the years to come. He's only 23 years old and looks better every fight. Keep your eyes open for him.

I'm not sure what's been the hold up in his career but surely by now I would have thought he'd fight for a title.

I've seen him fight several times and hes a talented kid, young too I think early 20's. So he's got a lot of room to improve.
