JJust read the following article about a local boxer, Anyone know of what british title he will fight for and what plans frank will have for him.
ALFRETON boxer Adie Whitmore made it eight wins out of eight when he produced a sensational first round knockout against Sheffield's Carl Wild last weekend.
Worryingly, Wild was unconscious for several minutes and required the assistance of paramedics before he was able to get to his feet at the Harvey Hadden Centre show in Nottingham.
Adie’s manager Mike Shinfield had agreed a promotional deal with Frank Maloney providing Adie produced a good performance on the night.
The contract was signed immediately after the contest and this will ensure Adie gets TV exposure and will almost certainly box for the British Championship before the end of the year.
A busy night for the Shinfield gym saw Rendall Munroe make a successful defence of his European Championship when he forced his French opponent Salem Bouaita to retire at the end of the seventh round.
Scott Haywood was a second round knockout winner against another Frenchman, Frederic Gosset. Olly Newham produced a devastating knockout against Plymouth’s Paul Brown, paramedics once again being called into action before he was able to leave the ring.
Ripley boxer Steve Jevons had a winning start, impressing with his boxing ability against South African Bekhi Moyo, putting Moyo down in the second round and recording a comfortable points win.
The last of the Shinfield stable was Kevin Hammond having his second professional contest so impressive was he in his first round knockout win over Gavin Brook that a promotional deal with Frank Maloney was agreed immediately.

Meanwhile, on the Raging Bull show at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham last Saturday, Marlpool’s Daz Davis successfully defended his British Super-Heavyweight title when he knocked out 6’4’’, 18 stone Paul Fiske in the third round in front of a packed house.
