Thread: Is uploading videos supposed to take so long?

Whenever I try to upload a video to youtube, it takes a minimum of 30 minutes, and sometimes over an hour!!

I tried to upload one to facebook, but after 30 minutes of letting the bastard set there and load, I find it's like 1% of the way there and it says 3 hours and 16 minutes left to go, so piss on that shit.

what kind of connection do you have? How large is the file?

Whatever it is. It'll difinitely slow your PC down.

We live out in the country, but it's the fast kind (that doesn't tie up the phoneline), so it's not slow or anything.

I'm not sure about the file size but the videos shot with me digital camera are on average about 1 minute long, give or take a few seconds.

You might have a slower dsl. If the file is like 10 megs, it should not take any longer than 10 minutes, unless youtube converts on the fly. Not sure if it does or not.
