The more I think about this fight, and the more I watch Cotto fight guys who are tough and come forward, the more I think this fight won't resemble a thriller where both guys just stand there and bang. For one Cotto hasn't done that against lighter punchers in N'Dou and Abdullaev, why would he start with Margarito? Cotto, if anything, is a smart fighter, he knows his limitations, and he knows how to take the least amount of punishment while still being able to dish out the most. He balances these two things very well, and he has progressively gotten faster, sharper, and simply better with each step up in class. I think Mosley even after this fight will be his pinnacle achievement, and just by seeing how he handled Mosley quite well up until whatever happened I feel that Margarito has a slim to zero chance of beating Cotto, and that I could see Cotto picking him apart for 12 rounds.
Even Oscar who used to have Margarito as a sparring partner acknowledges that Cotto is probably too fast for Margarito to logically beat him.
