Thread: Hello Saddo????

WTF Boss? Currently as I'm typing this there are 1150 guests. You can't even make a post without it taking 10 minutes to go through or the database error page coming up. Guys doing RBR's can't do it for the members who can't see a fight because it takes too long. I thought someone was going to start banning the guests during a big fight night This is ridiculous. And neg rep all you want people. I'll be surprised if I can post this

Saddo, I just came on this thread to post the same thing, but I got beaten to it.


Seriously............... saddoboxing.com is the Mecca of boxing forums. Why should NON-REGISTERED GUESTS make the site lag for all the people who actually bothered to register on this forum?

We haven't had problems like the ones we had tonight in a looonng time, I think it has held up really well over the past year or so especially considering it was like this every single time there was a big fight before or so it seemed. Saddo is away right now waiting to watch the fight so he probably won't see this for a while but my guess is he just forgot to do it then cut himself off from the computer to avoid the results or to sleep before it became a problem. Usually guests are locked out.

I don't think we ever went kaput tonight - that was nice! There were a few times when I had to refresh the page, but I was always able to get back in reasonably easily.

I agree - the forum does seem stronger than ever in terms of handling high volume traffic.

The RBR was Impossible late but all & all Things held up.I had 5 or 6....."Data-base Error's",had to refresh abit but it maintained throughout.....Hey,At least it's not another 24 hour's

Well to the members and Saddo and whoever the f#ck else; sorry if I came across like a whining bitch. I love this site and alot of us put in the time here, and we all enjoy the big fight nights. I'm sure no one missed my endless rambling on the Pac thread, but that' not my point. I was trying to pm a few members back and forth and the sh#t kept taking 5-10 minutes just to get the pm gone; or it would just take me to a bata base server page.

I enjpy the whole atmosphere on these type nights and that b.s. gets old. Sorry Saddo, just letting it out. If this site sucked I wouldn't say sh#t; hell I wouldn't be here. I just feel bad for the people who can't see the fight for whatever reason; and rely on a RBR; plus I like to ramble myself. I was just pissed when I saw 1100 guests on here. Lazy f#cks too lame to register

Like some said, the site hasn't had problems like tonight for a long time, just irritated me tonight. Sorry; ban me for 3 days for crying

nothing crashes a site like a manny pac fight... this is the first one that didnt take this place offline...

sorry guys i thought the fixes i had in place would cope but i was wrong... the guests do get locked out automatically but i see i might have to change that setting to alittle higher for the future.. the problem is you never know what is gonna happen till it happens and i just wasnt here.

still impressed with the changes ive made as this shit used to happen every week on the old forum so were getting there

I like to think of it as a tribute to the power of the pacman... The guy fights, and he crashes the top boxing site in the entire universe...


Although Mr Saddo, Legion may have a point if Hatton and Pac book a fight... The 1000+ guess will probably be nothing to the 5000+ guests that will appear that day, and the regulars will be stuck outside in the rain with no umbrella, staring at a server error message on the only door back in..

I do remember the days of the server going down nearly ever big fight.. I had actually forgotten about those troubles until tonight when I really couldn't post any comments after the Pac fight.. I was also wondering why there wasn't much stuff being posted by others either..

I noticed Biblo watched the whole fight even though it was one sided, and didn't turn over to the ping pong.. Another tribute to Pac I feel...

well i think someone was hacking in the website cuz i couldnt login lastnight

you guys know deleting your cookies and clearing your other browsing history or forms will help.

I couldn't log in yesterday for a while, it kept saying "guest do not get this message so log in if your a member" something like that but everytime I tried logging in. It just kept sending me back to that message. so when i deleted my cookies and cleared of the others as well. All was well and I posted away fine.

A shitload of guests. You're correct, there ought to be a way to prevent non-registered people from coming on here to slow the site down for us registered members. It ain't right.

It's done that to me before plenty of times. It's also said "the connection has timed out, please try again".
