Thread: Who would you want reffing?

I read an article on Bad Left Hook's webpage and it brought up a good question. Of course it was sparked up by Cortez' performance in the Soto fight, but if you were to choose a ref to officiate a major fight, who would you choose?

Personally, I would either go with Kenny Bayless or Steve Smoger. Bayless I believe makes proper stoppages, does not make himself a factor, and overall just a good ref. Smoger I like because he really gives a fighter the benefit of the doubt if they're hurt. For example, if Smoger wasn't the ref at the Pavlik vs Taylor 1 fight, Pavlik may have been stopped there.

Just kidding i think Smoger is one of the better ref's like u do.
They all have there good and bad points tho, and a lot recently seem to be swayed by outside pressures.

Smoger, but I wouldn't complain about Bayless either.

Definately don't want Gay Lady or Slow Cortez

I'd go with Smoger, I don't mind Bayless too much. But does anyone else thinks he kinda gets in the way a bit?

HAHAHA! He sure does! Bayless is just trying to help the fighter out by yelling at him..

Yeah Bayless is a good ref but I have always found the yelling to be funny.

Steve Smoger and Raul Caiz Jr are the only two referees that dont yap too much.

I like Weeks, Vann, Bayliss also.

I hate Nady and Cortez dreadful knumbskulls.

Can I vote for wacko as a refferee?

Smoger for sure.

Bayless is a close second.
