Is this true? ive read it on boxrec.com
i hope so, Haye has really struggled to get a fight.
Maskaev is old and past it, Haye should win this early.
This would be a good test against the former champ who is a big strong heavyweight.
Haye will be to fast and to accurate and brake Maskaev down by halfway mark.
A good fight for Haye but he wont get the credit he deservers when he wins.
Balls
He just has to do a better job on him than Sam Peter.
Considering the amount of shit at heavyweight that are top 10 ranked fighters - this is a decent first test.
this is a good fight for Haye and he may not win it for me.
Haye thinks Oleg's easy pickins. I hope that Oleg can turn back time a bit and hands Haye his ass.
As for Haye, for a guy who talks like a world beater, he is sure taking what can be perceived as a softer route to Wlad.
It's cuz Wlad won't fight him and neither would I... "Who the fwock is David Haye?" is what he's thinking... "This dude who's never campaigned at Heavyweight.. that's done NOTHING is the div. deserves a shot at the king?" Go make a name for yourself at heavyweight and maybe the fight will be made...
That's what Wlad's thinking and I can't blame him... Wlad knows he'll spark this "mouth"

Maskaev did lose to Peter last time out but not without getting his in.He did stumble Peter in I believe the fourth if I'm not mistaken, and did knock Rahman out in their fight's. Maskaev does have that great right hand.If Haye who is a little light in the ass get's a right hand from Maskaev I believe he will be going down. I haven't seem much of Haye but from what he's talking he would destroy King Kong. I believe if Haye get's Maskaev it has to be early the later rounds will be no good for him. I would have Maskaev in eight.
Povetkin has the Wlad fight lined up. They are not going to risk fighting Haye. Ibragimov was just in a total borefest - he's no better an opponent than Maskaev. Is Chambers in anyones top 10? He's not rated by The Ring.
Barring an actual "world" title challenge, any top 10 Ring ranked heavyweight (Maskaev is 7th) seems MORE than fair for Haye's foray into the plodders.![]()
