Default USA Amateur Boxing At Beijing 2008

I'm sure you have heard it before. It seems like every four years the same argument get's trotted out.

What is wrong with USA amateur boxing ?

I think (I could be wrong) that not one boxer from the USA amateur team made it to the quarter finals over in China. I mean, there is bad, and there just awful. I mean, even India (yes India) had a boxer through to the last eight.

    Where are the next Mayweather's, Pavlik's, Hopkins, DLH's, Tyson's, Holyfield's gonna come from ?

Deontay Wilder is still in and is fighting in the semi-finals.

Demetrius Andrade got to the quarter finals, but lost there.

    That's all I have.

The fighters from India are much improved over the last 4 years.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

The big names are coming about from everywhere..

But olympic success is not the place to find them these days.. The way the olympics are scored they have no indication or gaurentee for professional success any more in my opinion..
