Default Oscar v Pacman - Risk of serious injury to Pac..? or are we being conned..?

The weight difference is an issue for some...
    Let em fight i say

"Manny Pacquiao is going to get seriously hurt unless De La Hoya goes easy on him,......" - Fitzgerald

Massachusetts State Boxing Commisioner: "De La Hoya-Pacquiao is a dangerous mismatch that should not happen!"

Anyone else believe this could be more of a money making "spectacle" than a competetive fight.........
IMO Oscar has pulled this stunt before and not too long ago

IS the fight at 147? Because ODL is going to struggle like hell to get there. So that will weaken him. Pac is quite big-framed so even though he started out at a much lower weight, putting the weight on shouldn't be too much of a problem and i know he walks round above 150 nowadays. Frame wise he's not too different from Mayweather imo. I think he'll handle 147 possibly better than Oscar to be honest.

No idea... but i think the worry is Oscar will have far more natural punching power.

this is one of those 'apparent' mismatches in terms of weight I just don't get - like with RJJ v Trinidad (and Khan v Prescott)

If Pac wants to fight then yep let him but I can't see him doing anything other than losing by a stoppaqge.

Its a superfight yes with DLH having everything to lose in terms of his ring reputation.

    But let the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ roll

After this DLH shopuld try coax Dave Macauley out of retirement for one last hurrah then retire
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

Its gonna kill De La Hoya to get to 147 but he will be still to strong for Manny Pac,i think he stops manny around the 6th.

He may, but his punch resistance may also go to shit if he's weight drained.

He couldn't hurt Mayweather and Mayweather certainly shook him. Obviously Pac is much easier to hit but i still think this fight will be closer than most think

Definitely, this fight should be stopped.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

Mate I've been saying for months that if this fight happens it will mean Manny will sign a deal with GBP as well and that Oscar will go out of his way to make him look good.

If they fight no way Oscar knocks Manny out as that will harm his future marketability.

It will be a close and competetive, cagey fight and Oscar will in no way try and put a hurting on Manny.

I think Oscar will win, but it wouldn't be a complete suprise if he allowed Manny to stop him late in the fight like he did with his other business partner B Hop.

The whole fight is a con though, Oscar will offer Manny a nice little deal not only for the fight but also to sign him up and promote his future fights as well.

All very amicable and profitable for both men, and means the result of their fight will likely be fixed from the outset.
