Thread: Pink Floyd Experience

Went to see their latest concert last night. (they have got 50% better than their concert 4 years ago, with a much more expenisive and intricate stage show.
Like seeing the original band, hard to say but even better in some aspects cause every song you want, you get. Amazing lighting show, every song done to perfection .
Cant recommend them enough when they world tour again dont hesitate, spend the $100 first day get front row seats if possible and rock.


And Rip to the original Pink Floyd synth player he passed this week.

That's awesome Andre. Pink Floyd rule. Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall; ridiculous how great those albums are.

Yeah Pink Floyd were bro ,like modern video art and phycology intwined into music. 3 for the price of one.

I was blown away by how tight and exact to pitch and timing the band was last night.

We have a cover band that floats around the US a lot, called "Wish You Were Here", they're pretty good, but nothing like seeing the real thing.

And yes, RIP Richard Wright.

I think of my parents in London as little kids playing in the ruins each day then fleeing London cause the goverment thinking of the future cleared all the kids out. They were taken away from their parents to live in the country in Corwall with strangers for a few years while the adults stayed and faced the buz bombs.
My dad recalls hearing one come over and then the sound of the motor stopped so he knew it was comming down and as he ran up a cobbled alley way he saw the shadow of the rocket bomb follow him on a 45 degree angle down a brick wall and it landed on the other side of the wall he was running next to. As kids they used to go around to bombed areas until my mum stuck her nose into one and saw a lady with her face blown off.
This stuff makes me feel for what they all went through.

I just went into Jb hifi today and bought the Wall cause of last night.
I cant remember it to be honest ,dont know if I'll like it or not this time around .

I absolutely love Pink Floyd. I saw a cover band of theres a few years back up in Montreal I can't remember the name of the band (might of been Wish you were Here but not sure) but man was that band good, I would still love to see the orinals though. Time is probably one of my all time favorites, love that song.

I heard awhile ago hollywood was suppose to be doing a movie about pink floyd and I heard Johnny Depp was casted to play Syd Barrett. I'm not sure what happen to the movie though I haven't heard anything about it in forever now.
