Smile Slimming down the waistline into fighting shape, any suggestions?

Ok, well I'll start off by telling you my situation. I don't compete in amatuer boxing, but I do like to hit the heavybag around when I can. However I've gained considerable weight around the stomach area (I'm 6'0 205lbs), which slows down my speed. As everyone knows, the power derived from boxing comes from the bending of the knees and the rotation of the hips with the punch. If you have extra weight around you that is fat, it slows down the hip rotation, which slows down the speed of your punch, or that's what I believe. I don't know which abdomen exercises are best to slim down the abdomen, but I'm all ears. My upper abs are not too bad, but my lower abs are terrible, so if you guys can suggest the best abdomen exercises for lower abs, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Ab exercises won't slim down your belly you can't spot reduce fat thats a myth, the only thing that does is cardio. Swimming/Running etc, although do include ab exercises while your slimming down combined with the cardio.

I can't really tell you what to do because everyone has the own training style, but i suggest swimming you work your whole body and its a fun exercise. And that will certainly make the pounds fall off, or get a cross trainer for your home, there fun there cheap and unlike a normally running machine. They also work your arms at the sametime so i suggest looking into buying one.

And basically sort out your diet cut out the fatty foods etc, im sure you know whats a heatly diet so i won't insult your intelligence. But just basically watch your diet do more Cardio which i mentioned above. And your see the results soon enough good luck.

wanna lose weight? a very BASIC thing is eat less calories, but move your ass more. maintain 1600 calories a day minimum or your body will think it is in starvation mode and store everything as fat. your body will get good at this and believe me it is hard to beat it. try to lose no more than 3 lbs. a week any more and you will probably just be losing water to dehydration. a bad idea at best. break meals up into five small ones a day, and lift weights as muscle speeds up metabolism. this is over simplified, but then i am not a science major. hydrate, train till exhastion, rest hydrate tell jokes take notes train again...
