Default Jeff Lacy is a loser

This guy is trash. He's spouting off at the mouth on Boxingtalk saying that he beat Jermain Taylor blah blah blah. Honestly, Jermain Taylor beat his a** from pillar to post. Lacy is saying he shut Jermain down and that if you turn the volume off, you'll see he won. I didn't see this guy land any really great power shots like Jermain's. WTF?!?!?!?!?! Then this guy goes onto say that Allan Green is nowhere near his level. Are you kidding me? Allan Green would dispose of this guy IMO and that is a fight that needs to happen. Both guys are on the same level at this point and they're both delusional so it makes sense hahaha. Lacy is just a bodybuilder that was overhyped by our media because he kinda looked like a mini Mike Tyson. The guy is a decent fighter but his losses against JoeCal and JT show that he's never gonna be elite. I'm fine with confidence but not with delusion. It's ridiculous. What do yall think about Lacy?

Lacy's problem is the big muscles don't scare anyone anymore....also he is way too predictable, i wouldn't say he's garbage but disappointing definatly.

He should have had that knockdown scored for him but he only won 3-4 rounds tops.

Im struggling to find where you would give him 3 rounds let alone 4 ? I only gave him the round where he didn't score questionable knockdown, which on the replay actually didn't look like a knockdown.

He hurt Jermain Taylor 3 times in that round but other than that, he got a boxing lesson no way he won more than 2 rounds.

Lacy is a victim of his own over "Production" and hype.He is not 'Trash' by anymeans, just letting his pride and bitterness override his reasoning now that he has been shown that for all intents & purposes...his days among the top tier are finished. Many guys come off as frazzled whan faced with the harsh reality and now he will enter an Opponent type status with young guys looking to take his scalp for their own.His subtle reactions vs. Taylor were bad when he was caught flush,He withstood them but lurched forward, stutter stepped. He is as solid as a rock, tremendous chin and has the mystique of being a devastating single shot puncher with alot of heart....at this stage that may be a dangerous combination mainly for his self!!All that said,Green needs to stay active and find a focus of his own.Imo,he's not exactly a perfect picture of confidence recently?

Lacy only won 1 round. There were two rounds that could've been given to him if you were generous but Taylor still won those rounds IMO. The knockdown was ruled correctly, he only glanced Taylor's shoulder. I laughed my ass off when the score cards were read and Lacy raised his hands. I was like, "did he really think he won the fight?!"

I think Lacy does fight til the end but that's about it. He's a one trick pony and he has a puncher's chance (but not a good one at that).

Lacy was never more than a half decent fighter with very limited boxing skills but pre Joe Calzaghe he was so over hyped that he really believed he could beat everyone out there, worse than that tho was the fact that so many so called experts went along with it too, even our own Duke McKenzie said "Well on paper you would have to go with Lacy" I thought at the time what f*****g paper are you reading..there was never any real substance to prove this hype .. however there was plenty to subdue it after the JC fight lol..

Maybe Lacy is trying to hype a rematch?

Jeff did nothing of note as an amateur and has only picked up a vacant trinket title as a professional.

Sadly he has no business in boxing.

The Calzaghe defeat wasn't that much of a surprise to non-Americans, the Tsypko fight he also lost that and got a career-saving home decision, but i then supposed his dire performance was down to his shoulder injury so that was excusable.

But since then, we have had a laboured points win over the outrageously un-gifted Peter Manfredo and then another gruelling bum-fight against the non-entity that is Epifffffff fe fe fe fano mendoza.... which occured on like a Tuesday evening in front of 25 spectators.

How on earth they managed to sell the Taylor vs Lacy fight to TV execs i will never know as it's plain as day that Lacy is a level above Manfredo, yet a level beneath Sakio Bika.

He is a C+ fighter wheras Bika is a B-class fighter.

From here on in, any mediocre victory will still be seen as a poor showing from Lacy... and thats down to the incredible hype surrounding him.

Here we go again with our great sportswriter's. I would like to hear this come from Lacy rather than come from the boxing talk website. Is their an audio to this of Lacy talking s**t of Jermain.Thing is website's build up there website by simply using outrageous tactics like this. You've all heard Lacy before the fight a total class act in and out of the ring. Why would he shoot off his mouth and say Taylor lost and Allan Green out of left field is no where near his level. I'm sorry I just have trouble beleiving this coming from Lacy. After his defeat against Calzaghe did you hear Lacy sa anything negative but we have to go back to the drawing board and son on.

Thats the problem he is the same fighter. He still doing the same things he did against lesser fighters against better fighters. That fight happen just the way i always thought it would. It's hard for me to call him overrated because most people who follow boxing have always known his short commings even before calzaghe but like you said he excites the crowd. I remember when he was basicly the only big name fighter at 168. Now a lot of good fights are around 168.
