Thread: Now more than ever... I'm rooting for PAC

Saddoboxer's fanatical (and borderline annoying) rantings aside, now more than ever I'm rooting for Pac against DLH.

Are you kidding? After last night's fight, DLH and his hype machinery must be salivating at the thought of adding Hatton's scalp (at 147, of course) to Oscar's trophy case. If and when Oscar beats Pac, the hype will immediately begin. Team Oscar will dub Hatton "an extremely dangerous opponent for Oscar." Everyone will conveniently forget how forgettable Hatton is at any weight above 140. The very thought of this hype nauseates me.

Having said that, I must admit that I would be more interested in a Hatton-Pacquiao fight.

yeah like i said on a different thread, its better for boxing if pacman wins.

thing is the non boxing public would prob be more interested in a hatton/DLH fight.

Hatton had two fights outside the light welterweight division, one was against Floyd Maywaether, and the other he dominated in spots, and was countered to pieces in other spots, I think a new trainer could change a lot of that.

A trainer is not going to change Hatton at 147, he relies still on his strength at the lower weight at Welter he would get beaten by the better fighters. The only other reason besides the money he will fight ODH is that he is not an elite Welter any more. Marg would brutalise Hatton.

i agree. for hattons sake I hope pacman wins on december 6th. a hatton v pacman bout will be a great fight for boxing
