D-Hop has some serious advantages going into this one. He is tall with a good jab and a good reach. Holt has spent all this time in training camp with the intentions of fighting someone his size that throws wild looping punches. I'm gonna pick D-Hop because of surrounding circumstances. If he would have been the opponent all along I would go with Holt.

It's all up to holt. Holt only throws shots he's pretty sure he's gonna land and hates to take chances unless forced. If hopkins forces holt to fight i think holt will catch him and win, if d-hop boxes him and sticks to some sort of plan hard as it may be on short notice i agree with the post above he does have advantages that can make the fight a whole lot easier.

This is actually really news to me myself.. I heard about Torres pulling out a few days ago but had no Idea D.Hop was the replacement. That is about the best last minute replacement I've seen in AGES, this could be an excellent fight and really hard to pick a winner imo. Credit for Hopkins stepping in late notice like this, especially considering he was training for a much lower profile fight.

What is the age differance between them both?Hopkins looked great against Pavlik. He could fight like that again against Holt then he should do well.

Is it me or has Holt got a weak chin?

Yeah and the 40 extra pounds would do him well too. To bad its his nephew NOT Bernard.

Bernard Hopkins fights at 175, and you thought he would be a last minute replacement for a 140 pound Tores. I really hope you were joking.

LOL.. I tought this was one of those bad jokes like Manny fighting Wald. Well should be a good fight im picking D-hop on account that Holt should not even be the champion. Holt head won that fight for him and saved him from a first round KO from Torres.

Hopkins did beat Holt in the amateurs, both acknowledged it.

Like Killer said, I think the biggest factor in this fight is which fighter can come up with a gameplan in such a short period of time. Both were in training to face different guys. Even though he was training to face a completely different type of fighter, I think Holt may have the edge because he was training to face a higher calibre fighter.

That being said, I'm picking Hopkins.
