I was watching a few clips on George Chuvalo yesterday, and for a guy who was known as an easy target, a guy who got wailed on by Foreman, Patterson, Ali and Frazier (twice each), the guy seems to have gotten out of boxing relatively unscatched. I mean to hear him speak even at the age of 71 you'd never know he's had 93 professional fights and has been belted by some of the best and hardest hitting boxers of all time. He even goes around talking at colleges.
Jake Lamotta was another one who seemed to have came out of boxing relatively well. At 87, obviously his speach and mental capacities have slowed with age, but he still speaks clearly in interviews, despite having over 100 fights and given his style and tendacy to take punishment.
Who are some of the other legends that seem to be functioning well after decades out of the ring?
