Default Windsurfing during a tropical storm :X

OK folks, this is what happens when you play games with mother nature. People with weak constitutions should not watch this. An unhappy ending for one poor dude, but it's hard not to laugh.

You'd think so Donny, but my guess it all happened too fast to react. By the time he realized he had to let go it was probably too late. I guess.

I no dude. It would have been instinct God help him.

When we feel fear or pain, our instinct from infancy is to cling onto someting stronger or grasp for support.

You'll notice under electric pulses, the hand grasps, thats our nature.

good post donny. I was just about to say that your survival instinct forces you to hold on. Letting go has to almost be trained.

For example, in a car accident your instinct is to try to steer the car, even if out of control. In F1, drivers are taught to let go of the wheel and cross their arms to avoid breaking their wrists and shoulders.

Notice how kimi is not holding on to the wheel. That's incredibly cool under pressure driving and not something the average person would do. It goes against survival instincts.

I saw something like this on news earlier this year in Miami. guy was wind surfing and the wind took him right into a building. I always ask myself why wouldn't the poor just let go.
