Wasn't a possible Holyfield moving up in weight to fight Tyson a huge side story to his fight with Carlos De Leon?

That tension with Tyson ringside must've been thick! But we all know how that turned out when it happened...=)

Yes I think Holyfield was at ring side when Tyson 91 sec KO of Williams and the Ring did a great interview with Holyfield. Tyson wanted the fight with Holyfield and said that they both had quick wins and should fight as soon as possible. He should have done when he had the chance.

I always thought a prime tyson would have handled a prime holy.

But after watching a few of those Holyfield fights back to back with some vintage tyson fights I think the same outcome would have occurred any time they fought. Also dont think young Mike would have been able to handle old George like Holy did..Tysons skills were really eroding even before prison.

Holyfield wasnt the kind of fighter you could bully without being bullied back.

That was one of the best Heavyweight fights of the 80s, and i was suprised Michael Dokes put up such a fight. And i still don't know how Dwight Muhammad Qawi vs Evander Holyfield 1 didn't get FOTY.

UGH!!! I refused to watch it even though there was non other boxing to be found...ESPN 2 has been showing those same old ass fights time and again as if the sport never had anyone else but Tyson and Holyfield...Just like MSG seems to only play Duddy at the Garden
