Default Bernard Hopkins Vs Taylor III in the near future?

On July 16 2005,Hopkins lost his undisputed middleweight championship to Jermain Taylor via a split decision,Hopkins started slowly, but came on strong over the second half of the fight. Many press row writers scored the fight for Hopkins. On December 3, 2005, Hopkins lost his rematch against Jermain Taylor by unanimous decision,All three judges scored the fight 115-113 for Taylor. Recently Future HOF Bernard Hopkins made his premiere as an Espn broadcaster for Friday night fights, He was asked who he would he like to face next? Hopkin's said he would like to fight Joe Calzaghe in a rematch, but if that doesnt happen...Jermain Taylor possibly. After Hopkins upset over current Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik in a 170lb catch weight contest where Hopkins "turned back the clock" and "schooled" Pavlik and once again proved his status as an elite boxer and could bounce back from anything, Do you think Hopkins vs Taylor III would be the fight of the year for 09 (If) it were to happen? and who would you pick to win this time? could the decirated superstar B-hop "turn the clock back" once again over Taylor? or can a revived and determined Jermain Taylor do what hes used to doing, and pick up the Win for the third time? (B-hop 49-5-32Ko's vs Taylor 28-2-17Ko's)

I think at LHW Hopkins takes the win. If he had to drain back down to middleweight I would go for Taylor again.

I actually don't think either has a better money fight on option for the start of the year so I could see this happening. If it did, it'd likely be another 170 catchweight fight. I'd go for Hopkins in a close fight.

Another bad fight i will watch it but i can't see it being any better, than there last 2 boring fights. The difference is Jermain Taylor at that time was HBO's new star at that time, and the Middleweight division needed a new young upcoming fighter to pass the torch on to.

Jermain Taylor before the Bernard Hopkins fights and ETC, was considered a somewhat exciting fighter at that time with a great jab. And a nice personality outside the ring, and with his Amateur/Olympic success it was easy to promote him and it was hard not to be a fan of him. Thats why i personally think he got the benefit of the doubt in both Bernard Hopkins fights, and the Winky Wright fight.

I personally don't think he would get the same treatmant in a 3rd meeting with Bernard Hopkins. The 2 losses to Kelly Pavlik has ruined his reputation quite a bit, since Bernard Hopkins handled Kelly Pavlik very easily. So i'll take Bernard Hopkins by close decision.

Taylor has looked better as of late but at 170-175 Hopkins may edge him in another close fight. At 168 Taylor would probably win a close fight. Pretty much agree with everyone on this.
