Thread: Why do we put up with this?

I'm venting but i'm seriously fed up with our supposed leaders. Let's put this into real terms.

Our government borrowed 700billion dollars which we (taxpayers) have to repay with interest, and gave it to the banks, which will lend it to us to repay with interest

How the fuck do we let these retards make decisions. We got double fucked........

Instead they could have stimulated the economy by giving the citizens the money from the loan we already have to pay back, we would have benefited, businesses would have benefited because people would spend money.




By the way...... Here's how this happened. The banks went and said, "hey we have fallen on hard times, there's no way we can survive unless you help us out, can we borrow a few billion?"

Try as a business, or an individual and go into a bank and say " i've fallen on hard times, no job, losing my house, no way for me to make it unless you loan me some cash to get through this tough time"......

What do you think the bank will do? Ummm sorry we've checked your credit and since you lost your job and you missed payments on your house we don't think you're gonna pay back the money we borrowed from you to lend to you that they are gonna take out of your check when you do get a job anyway. So sorry but we can't help you.

I'm really pissed. I just get tired of hearing the politicians act like the banks are here to help us. They are blood sucking leeches that are out to bleed you dry. They are for profit businesses that make obscene profits from lending with compound interest and borrowing on simple interest.


I seriously think the only way to fix this is to have banking become non profit enterprises. They are HUGELY profitable and greedy. Money should be used as a tool and not allowed to be profited from. This would prevent the huge abuses we've been seeing.

well for the first time ever, filipino veterans are getting some reward for their sacrafice. Obama is the only president to acknowledge they ever existed i think.

Everyone else in history have been rewarded somehow, the filipino has been here in the states since the days of the Spanish army. Often mistaken as mexican but yea when i heard filipino veterans are getting som3 love from the stimulus im like wow thats suprising.
