Thread: Lets give these fighters a well deserved hand!!

I gotta say that I am happy to see that some of these bigger name fighters are starting to take a stand against things lately....Without getting into too many guys or issues I will stick with the latest 2 we have talked about here on the boards....

Vitaly Klitschko disputing a bull mandatory with Maskaev after he fights Gomez stating it is nothing the fans want and the fight is meaningless..

Then JMM openly states he does not want Cortez as his referee when he fights Diaz...Openly calling out reasons why...Openly pointing out where Cortez has screwed up lately making his claim not opinion but FACT!!!!

It is about time these guys start speaking up and using some of their status as top caliber fighters to take a stand on things....Maybe other fighters will take suit and do the same....

Glad these guys are not just taking what they are being given knowing it is crap decisions....

Yeah I'm with you 100% on that. The sanctioning bodies need a wake up call, the meaning of their belts for me is getting less and less because of all the shit they try to cash in on.

I agree.If the people responsible for appointing the officials and making the feeble mandatory rankings won't call for accountability....its left up to the fighters and fans.Good for Marquez....I think Cortez needs some serious step aside time and re evaluation.He seems to have a need for camera time and indecisiveness.

I might lend myself to agree partially with the thread, but Cotto put himself on the list to fight Pacquiao for one reason and one reason only and that is the same reasons every fighter wants to fight Pacquiao. $$$

Not very valid with Pac. He got knocked on his ass 4 times, he knocked Pac down 0. Those weren't slips either. He got rocked. Still he showed he's a champion with his performances and coming back after, but he deserved to fall short of winning.

Simply, he didn't do enough to win after being kd'd all those times. Fought like a champ, but still fell short.

No comment on John. Didn't see it.

Pacquiao did win but with great contraversy. He knocked Marquez down numerous times in both fights but you must remember there are 12 rounds in a championship fight. Many around the boxing community not only Marquez fans felt Marquez pulled it out by winning rounds.
