Thread: Jesus Chavez vs Katsidis

Well, I've been fortunate enough to watch Jesus spar with Carlos Hernandez this week. I have a sneaky hunchy chavez is going to wear Katsisdis down. Man, he is in great shape for an older fighter

I sat with Carlos for an hour after my work out and talked with him. He is a really nice guy. He's humble and very smart. He looked very good as well.

I've never seen Barrios fight. Any ideas?

I gotta go with Kats in this one but either way it has potential FOTY written all over it!

Especially considering his face first style. Im worried his career aint gonna last too long the way he is going. Especially with is thin skin!

Yeah Kats is almost the second coming of Gatti.

Yeah Kats is almost the second coming of Gatti.

Katsidis/Funeka should be very interesting just on sheer punch output by both guys

Chavez looks really, really strong though. The guy is a work out maniac.

honestly although i'm not writing Chavez completely off, IMO his best days are behind him

I favor Chavez to defeat Kats... I think Kats brawling style already caught him... Amonsot, Casamayor and Juan Diaz already ruined Katsidis... He didn't even looked good in his last fight against an unknown boxer...

All out gutsy Chavez with two knee supports being worn and everybit of an 'advanced' fighter...?This is one Katsidis takes,a backing and over taxed Chavez is ill equipped to cope right here

Katsidis to break him down but only after both fighters have come off the floor. I think it may be similar to the Graham Earl fight, but with Chavez being so much better than Earl, I think its much more even until Katsidis drops him for good in Round 8

I see Chavez being stopped here I think he'll retire on the stool wont come out for a round...

Kats is a fucken savage IMO and will be too much for Chavez.

I take it you mean because he didn't TKO Ramirez he didn't look good?
He looked more then good in the fight Ramirez style and running didn't offer much for the fight if anything it was a really good fight for Kats that he went the distance as it keeps him busy and gives him rounds.

You will be very surprised when fight night comes, Chavez isn't the same anymore and you've obviously haven't seen him recently.
