Thread: Any truth to the Rumor that Briggs will be fighting Valuev?

If so, I hope he gets rid of this feather fisted Beast once and for all.

I hope its true. I can imagine it being a awful fight infact possibly the worst stinker of all time but theres a 5% that we might actually see some punches exchanged and that would be entertaining bewteen these two .

Still, a Briggs vs. Beast fight makes for some interesting possibilities. It could be the worse fight of all time.

Well they will come into the fight weighing about the same. I say Briggs has him on queer street for two rounds and then is out of breath the rest of the fight and Valuev wins the decision..as terrible as it is Briggs must barely do any cardio. Comes into a fight ripped and etc but then fades in 2 rounds. He is like a heavyweight zab judah.

You know what? I would love to see that fight, it would be really entertaining for the first 4 or 5 rounds before Shannon gases out. Valuev is the more vulnerable of the champions and it could set up a mega showdown with either of the K brothers if someone beats him. Haye should be calling him out instead of either 1 of them first.

Saw Briggs at a show not too long ago, man hes a big dude. He looked a lot heavier than he usually does, but hes a massive human being.

This is a case in which I would just love to see Jiffy-Pop Briggs a KO winner.I think the hairless wookie Valuev would fight a bit tenative and be in awe of Briggs plentiful locks atop his head.Last I saw of Jiffy-pop on ESPN,he was quite the plumper though?

They have about the same speed. But I'd favor Valuev coz he's freakishly huge and Shannon has asthma which could cause some stamina problem.

I have asthma. If he didnt come into the fight weighing 280 pounds of muscle then he wouldnt gas out so soon. Its not his natural body weight and its only putting unsafe pressure on him. If he comes in even at 240 or 230 I'd pick him to KO Valuev. If he comes in the usual 270 something then if he doesnt KO Valuev in the first 2 rounds then its over.

To think that Briggs once weighed around 227 lbs and was a big fast, extremely talented heavyweight.

What a waste.

At least he got the WBO belt for a brief period of time when he KO's Liahovich.

I can't see it. He has been inactive since being beaten by a less than impressive Sultan Ibragimov. I think that Chagaev will take Valuev again anyway.

The only intrigue with this fight is seeing whether it can beat out Briggs-Liakhovich for most boring heavyweight fight ever.
