    Default Its Happened again

Well this is a bit of a weird thread but i respect most of you guys and would like some advice.

Recently it seems ive been getting hit in the face far too often without responding, this aint in a boxing match but just out on the street. Firstly, im not an aggressive guy at all and never start this shit but I am blessed or cursed with the looks of a fighter and it seems trouble is coming my way more and more recently.

Firtsly on new years after several beers and a fair bit of MDMA (if you know anything about it you'll understand) I tried to break up what seemed to be an emerging fight between some scallies and a friend, the result was two punches to the face and a bottle over the head. Honestly it didnt really effect me, i was too loved up to give a shit and carried on the night with blood pouring out of my head and had a great time.

But just today, walked into an offy in Rusholme and got started on by 1 of 3 obviously pissed dodgy guys in there as soon as i walked in, no provocation. Talked my way out of it went to get a beer then caught the eye of his mate who immediately came over and gave me a good punch in the face, shopkeeper's assistant interviened. They then tried to extort the shopkeeper for free stuff while his assistant was chattin sayin leave it and if they come again are you up for takin em on, i obviously replied yes.

Now anyways this is the second time in a few months this has happened, not tryin to make out im a hard man or anythin, barely punched 2 people in my life both when we were kids but ive never been hurt or dazed or any of that by a punch but i am getting sick to fucking death of being treated like a mug.

My question, next time something similiar should happen should i let go of my inhibitions and floor the guy or continue on this same course of action which leaves me walking home feeling extremely pissed, angry and immascualted.

Your thoughts please, and if you need more details (as after all they are all important in this type of situation) feel free to comment. Would appreciate the feedback

Wish I could offer you some advice mate but I've never been started on before.

I think I must look totally non threatening as I've even walked into people accidently and they have apologised to me then I've watch minutes later as they start on some 6 ft 5 guy who is walking behind me.

Maybe they just sense my natural menace?

You can only trust your gut instincts in those situations mate.

Did you have a strange feeling about going in the shop in the first place?
Or about them beofre it happened?

If you did you have recognize those feelings.

Running is a good option if your fit,if they catch you then its their bad luck I recon and you have to go animal.

Do you look down to the ground when people are looking at you for a reaction?
If so dont! Smile at them and wink and feel like you are the cat stareing at the mouse who is about to be eaten and hold the look but be smiling cheeky with it and ready.

Not saying your scared but Bullies are used to seeing fear on people and they can sence it a mile away too,so if you are the complete reverse, complacent but smiling and pointed at them without flinching they get a question arise in their head (does this cunt know what he's doing?.) the answer of yes comes to their mind on experience.

They want a victum, they usually go elsewhere.

Its like when someone walks up on the street and you know they are going to ask you for a smoke.
Ask them for one before they even get the words out, so whether its money or smokes they want from you, they are fucked u win.
    + its fun.

Mind there's a way to carry yourself, that just says "This dog bites",I cant really explain it,but it does work,I rarely if ever have to scrap outside of a ring. Of course that could have something to do with my height, and according to my wife when I look pissed off,I look REALLY pissed off, actually all of my friends say when I look mad, they really dont want to be anywhere near me.Its odd though, because I really rarely lose my temper.

Yeah I've had that quite a lot, mostly when I lived up in Bradford. I've always found that anyone causing hassle are usually never alone, they always have few mates not too far away.

I think Andre speaks a lot of sense but I would always crack any fucker who wants to spoil my night.

Thats cool so long as you dont go against your gut instinct and wind up getting shot ,stabbed or die on the end of ten boots just for the one night.

The Manchester area and areas of Greater Manchester are really rough places. You can easily find trouble without too much effort. When I was studying in Manchester we lived in Salford for a year because we liked the fact that the rent was cheap. The rent was cheap for a reason, it was probably one of the worst areas you could find in the UK. I never got into any fights, but you would hear stories of stabbings and dust ups. It was customary to walk down the street and see kids smashing up phone boxes. I kept myself to myself and was okay.

Manchester is such a grim place though and there is that undertow of menace always boiling under the surface. Things can kick of over nothing, very easily. I don't have any good advice really, but I'm sorry to hear that you are having an unlucky run of things. The UK has a large underclass of savages and they really bring the tone down for those who just want to live their lives peacefully.

Yes there is alot of places in Manchester that are just full of dick heads, who are just brought up by there parents to be utter scum, i mean when i was a kid i was a bit mischevious like any other kid but thesedays its just sad to see, in mean Salford is pretty bad but not as bad as south Manchester.

No,he was drunk high, and on pain meds, and he didnt threaten to kill me,he waived a gun around with my kid near by to show off his threatened manhood. While I felt threatened, which anyone with any common sense would around a drunk guy who wants you to see his .44 cannon,he didnt exactly threaten to kill me.
That much Bud Ice,a full doob,at least I assume he had smoked the whole thing the roach was in his ashtray, and enough pain meds to drop a mule at 40 paces, will give you a certain amount of fearlessness regardless. There's a song by,I believe F.O.D. about that phenomana called ".32 Ounces Of Courage"

I wish I had known you were Trainer Monkey when you came by my house. We would have talked about boxing instead of guns.

tough one to answer, me personally depends on my mood I can laugh off some bstards than others i will just go for, really depends when i am in a really bad mood & i am out i will literally go spoiling for a fight (dont get me wrong i will go for a group of lads who r out for trouble only & never for the innocent) but everyone is different, but i am on medication now for aggression ha ha. hope u have some better look man cos u sound like a really decent bloke & if more people were like u i am sure we would live in a much nicer country, now i will rep u sir!
