Default Steve Molitor set to return against Heriberto Ruiz

Apparently its an IBF eliminator. However, I can't see Caballero granting him a rematch. I don't think he'd be able to beat Vazquez, Marquez, JML, or Caballero, unless Vazquez and Marquez have ruined eachother, but I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Dunne or Gonzalez.

Canada's Molitor announces he will fight Ruiz on June 26

A year or so ago I had a Molitor Dunne title showdown in Dublin on my list for dream fights of 2009.

With Dunne losing to Martinez it looked like it would never happen but now with Molitor looking to get back onto the world stage and with Dunne holding a belt a fight between the two of them in Dublin would be awesome.

It will be interesting to see where Steve is at. The Caballero fight was incredibly disappointing, and not just because of the loss, but because of how it went down. Of all the fights I have watched in the last year, it was probably the clearest example of a fighter being beaten before stepping in the ring that I have seen. A lot of us suspected Molitor was in tough against the tall and awkward Panamanian, that it may have been too much for him, but yet we hoped for a good and strong showing atleast. It didn't happen.

So ya I'll still be rooting Steve and hoping to see improvement. To see some heart and fire, hopefully.

At the first moment Molitor came face to face with Caballero, it seems that "THE TOWERING INFERNO" already got him...

Molitor: "Ohh ohh, here comes my daddy..."

I really hope Bute’s comeback is a good precedent for Steve and all the Canucks.
Let’s hope 2009 will be a much better year for ours fighters than 2008.

Good fight Molitor. This is a good match up. Ruiz got talent. He got KOed by Rafa in the middle of his career, but he outdistanced Bautista in his recent bout. I expect a very entertaining fight.

It looked like he was beat before entering the ring. I remember watching the Showtime footage of him entering the arena and even I could tell he was incredibly nervous.
