Yep Boxrec is pretty useless. Pacquiao is somehow number 1 Junior Welterweight in the World when he hasn't had one fight in that Division.
Boxrec crap? Saddo aside, it is the best thing that has happened to boxing in the last 20 years.
Sure the ratings are 'unique', but I think the information it has, kind of makes up for that silly shortcoming.
Thanks to boxrec promoters can no longer blindside us with a Mexican road sweeper who they claim is 35 and 4 and never been floored, when in reality boxrec shows him to be 4 and 35 and never been in with a fighter with a winning record!

Britkid is spot on, Boxrec's ratings are always cack El
Okay how about rephrasing the title to Boxrec ratings are crap. And yes Collazo at 26 is really stupid and he is under Jose Luis Castillo and Baldomir who have done nothing as of late and Judah at 10 is preposterous. I'd like to know who the individual is that does the ratings.
Great for stats, dates and numbers...crap'olla for everything else I believe. It serves a good purpose when in the past, the only 'Boxrec' was good ol' Ralph Citro, fight fax,etc.....or some obsessed fanatic keeping 5x8 index cards, and calling 900 #'s for weekly fight results. After all...the fighter Bios are basically a wikapedia clone right? Needs to be fact checked, verified. The ratings are rancid... but thats why we have The Ring.....and our very own Saddo ratings committee

yes i'm referring to their rankings, Lujan should NOT be in the top 10, and both Quintana and especially Collazo are ranked waaaaay too low, and if Margarito is suspended why is he still ranked #2?
Their ratings system is flawed, whence the odd postitions of certain fighters. And they sometimes call fights that are not sealed yet and thus never materialise.
As a whole I do find boxing rec to be a great resource. I spent yesterday evening going through Muhammad Ali's 70's career and trying to piece it together with footage from You Tube. I was checking all the opponents and seeing how they did prior to fighting Ali and looking at what they went on to do after. All that data at your finger tips, I just love it.
one dangerous horrible bloke
